When ordering the site says 1-2 week delivery time, mine was 3 weeks. I payed $250 for the palletized shipping of OME leaf springs, they came loose shipped and damaged twice. I did not receive any resolution from shock surplus or discounts from damaged merchandise. The products themselves: Bilstein 6112 coilovers, Bilstein UCA's, OME leaf springs and Bilstein 5125 shocks are very good. I will not be doing business with Shock Surplus.

Don’t bother paying for assembled 6112s
The shocks came in relatively quickly. I specifically asked for a +1” on the assembled 6112s I bought so I wouldn’t need to disassemble and reassemble myself but when they arrived they were assembled with the C-clip at the lowest possible level. While it was easy enough to correct this prior to installation, it really should’ve been done by Shock Surplus since they do charge a fee for it. In hindsight, I would’ve just assembled them myself, there are other reviews stating the same experience.

75% of the item description is correct…
75% of the item description is correct although there are things to make it better understand like the shipping handling box has a damage due to the strap cut off to hold the shock's extended action. Product wise I am happy with the performance on a bit high speed of its dumping and rebound action of the shocks. after installation last March 11 2026

They know their stuff
First of all they're fired up about their products which is always refreshing to see. And like most people who are really into something they know their stuff. They have lots of resources online to educate yourself. Unfortunately I've got to ding them for advertising products as in stock that clearly were not and taking a while to get to the bottom of that. That was pretty frustrating. That said I will definitely do business with them again.

Easy to find what I needed. Hard to go wrong with KYB shocks. Price was lower or on par with anywhere else. Shipping was about as fast as Amazon. Will definitely buy from again.

Warranty Support
I had a strut on my Tacoma blow out and leaking oil, I reached out to Shock Surplus and they were great and very easy and quick to respond to my questions. Thanks to Cheri Cortez who responded to all my questions clearly and made the process so much easier and now I have replacement struts for my truck.

Great customer support on manufacturer defective shocks
I received new Eibach shocks that had a manufacturer defect; bad welding and bad zinc coating. The shocks were showing rust in the poorly welded area. Shock Surplus handled the issue quickly. They quickly sent me replacement shocks and a return label so I could return the manufacturer defected shocks. I will happily use Shock Surplus again.
