I was given the details for Slater & Gordon from a friend who had been through a similar situation to myself with regards to medical negligence. The service that Heather Moore and her team have provided throughout has been excellent. The team have been there every step of the way showing due diligence, professionalism and guidance whenever needed. They have worked tirelessly to get the best result for me and my family and I will be eternally grateful for that. I would recommend their services.

My experience with Slater Gordon and especially with the Solicitor assigned to me was that they were professional, kind and updated me every step of the way during a long and difficult period in my life.

Since I can no longer see my written review, I’m writing it again. I’ve had a case since 2020. Immediately after signing the contract, my lawyer focused mainly on gathering my full 16-year GP history since my arrival in the UK, but when she forwarded it to the defendant, I received no response. As for appointing experts, for some reason, she wasn’t in a hurry and only after a two-year break did she appoint the first expert, and that was at my request. The expert reports were created without important radiological tests, and I constantly had to ask my lawyer to send them. In 2024, she even tried to mislead the client, claiming that the back MRI had been sent to the expert. I had two ,,conferences'', which I can’t even call conferences, as they were essentially nonsense, there was an attempt to mislead the client about section 36, claiming that negotiations could only take place once.My son, who participated, was so bored that he dozed off without participating in the discussion at all. An important witness was not included in the witness list, and my lawyer talks about millions claim, even though neither the defendant nor the lawyer has been preparing for any negotiations since 2020. My official request to begin negotiations was rejected twice by my lawyer. An official request to explain how the individual fracture amounts were calculated has been ignored and there is no response. My lawyer’s behavior since the beginning of the case has been strange and, of course, not in the client's favor. All of the defendant's requests were fulfilled, and all documents were disclosed to the defendant. When I asked my lawyer to mention even one significant piece of advice given since 2020 regarding the case, she could not do so because there simply was none. That’s why the case is in court. A real 5-year nightmare. I recommend avoiding this company.

This is the second time I’ve used Slater & Gordon to help me with a claim. The first was in 2013-2018 a Road Traffic Accident abroad in which I sadly lost my husband of 42 years.

I didn’t hesitate using this company a second time. I’ve found all personnel I’ve dealt with to be very professional, very knowledgeable & very supportive of your cause.
Nothing is too much trouble for them to investigate on your behalf. There’s always someone at the other end of the telephone to help & they always return your calls. They don’t put any pressure on you, they really care & take note of your own feelings.
I would recommend Slater & Gordon very highly should you need a professional & caring service.

Spent 2 hours and 35 minutes dealing with the London office regarding a personal injury claim for my elderly mother.
First agent I spoke to took all our details, then transferred us to another agent who took more details. She then transferred us to the specialist team. Spoke to a bloke who said he didn't have our details, took our contact number (again) and said he'd call back in "a few moments ". 40 minutes later I called back and was told the specialist team had referred us back. He then proceeded to ask me to about my claim. I told him that I had already told two members of staff and that I had a reference number. He told me that he was adding to the notes as not all the details had been filled in. I told him I was very unhappy with this service and did not feel they were professional in their approach and ended the call.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. Personal claims are sensitive and personal, this company give not give me confidence in fighting for my mother's injuries.

Senior legal staff, without talent, apparent knowledge, interest, empathy or understanding handled my simple case.
Astoundingly bad at representing but can invoice for every breath! I had to change solicitors, from S&G to another practice after months of delay, inaction, unbelievably badly spelt letters and bad grammar (I had to edit and correct. I wish I could publish them!) lack of interest, communication and knowledge.
The REPLACEMENT solicitors successfully sorted out the claim within weeks, were tremendously professional, charged fairly, listened, understood, made me feel represented, called me out of hours to reassure and update me, showed such kindness, understanding and knowledge I felt humbled.
When I complained to S&G and then escalated it, as they denied wrong doing and invoiced me some more! It took months for a negative result and I suspected strongly they had wanted me to just go away. It felt obvious too that no proper investigation had occurred.
The 'specialists' should be ashamed of themselves.
Note, this was during Covid, they should have just had the decency to say off the record 'we are over run with requests and will deal with enquiries based on highest revenue..'. I would have been happier with that.

This company were excellent, always kept me updated with regards to the claim and where it was at. Emails answered efficiently. I would highly recommend them.

After going through several departments and staff who really didn't know what rhey were doing

I was appointed a new solicitor in Louise Hurley who was very open and honest with me and took charge of my case and we moved forward very quickly

Louise was very thorough and explained everything, was available to take calls and returned calls if missed and responded to every email normally on the same day

I was very impressed with the way she advised and looked after me through the process even though we dis-agreed on several points, we got their in the end until conclusion

I would 100% recommend Louise Hurley to any one and definitely have no problems using her in the future being the professional that she is
