These people do not have a clue about customer service they take your money then don't answer e mails or phone calls. Very disappointed probably have to try and move our account elsewhere.

I have recently completed on a house purchase within London using Stirling Ackroyd Legal (Sept 2020).

I have Peter Benjamin as my conveyancer. Peter provided an outstanding service throughout the process, even in such times of uncertainty, he was attentive and clear in his communication. The process with Stirling seemed efficient and was further aided by Peters in depth knowledge, experience and diligence. Despite being a challenging time for all at the company, every call was followed by a summary email and call backs were always attended to if promised. The price paid for the services were reasonable and in most cases cheaper than competition at the point of committing. I would recommend.

First class service from Bryan, overall time to complete my land registry title was 4 months. This incorporated obtaining various records and documents from the management company as well as documents from abroad. I was kept informed of every requirement and progression. This is my second property instruction with Bryan and Stirling Ackroyd and I would not hesitate to use their services again. Bearing in mind the C-19 impact and limitations I am more than pleased. Just completed on the sale of my house, it was a complex sale after a divorce and Rey was fantastic. She always got back to me and responded to emails with no problem. I would highly recommend these guys, in fact I did and my sister is currently using them to buy her first home!

This was our first time buying a house, and we where suprised how easy it was to work with Rey she anwsered all our questions and was always avaialble to speak to us whenever we needed. She was very pro-active in helping with our case, would definetly be a return cutsomer.

The service throughout was terrible and so unprofessional, they gave my case to someone who didn't really know what they were doing (they have told me she is no longer with the company). They surprised me on the day of completion that I had to pay the whole year's service charge upfront in order to complete and some other fees, a total of £1100 I wasn't aware I had to pay on the day and they didn't answer the phone once to explain why, it took a few hours for me to gather the extra money from family and friends and then I was charged a £2800 late fee the next day from the other side, (where they didn't answer the phone to explain anything again). I could've lost the property and my deposit if I didn't pay the £2800. You pay for a solicitor to help you and act in your best interests, they didn't do this once. I sent a formal complaint to them which they ignored for over a year, only responded when the Legal Ombudsman told them to. After spending 10 months dealing with the legal ombudsman, I've just been awarded a measly £400 compensation which apparently is near the maximum they can offer anyone, even if the firm causes you thousands and thousands of pounds of debt. During the Ombudsman's investigation they also found out the firm overcharged me £295 on search fees and they didn't give this back until the Ombudsman told them to, I wouldn't have even known about this without the investigation. Honestly the worst customer service I've ever experienced, they lie, they're rude, their emails are sarcastic and unprofessional, they ignore you, overcharge you, cause you £2800 debt to go along with your brand new mortgage, the whole ordeal has been an absolute nightmare. Considering they were found out for poor service and over charging me, they showed no remorse, I never even got an apology. A really horrible, horrible firm.

Have just completed on a flat and the service from Stirling Ackroyd has been excellent throughout the process. Helped resolve a number of issues with Help to Buy and the developer in a timely and professional manner. Always responsive and helpful.
