Don't use Smartcare, just go to garages directly. Smartcare's communication is poor - no updates, no knowledge of the garage opening hours and no response to emails. On top of which, check what they charge you. In my case labour on tyre fittings which the garage does for free.

I had my car service and MOT done with AA Smart Care, and I am very pleased with the experience. The technician was friendly and professional, and I really appreciated the video inspection, where they showed and explained everything they were checking on the car in detail. The report was also sent to me promptly.

After having a very disappointing experience elsewhere previously, where I didn’t receive a proper report, felt pressured with additional recommendations, and had poor communication around a last-minute garage change, the difference was very noticeable.

With AA Smart Care, I felt informed, comfortable and able to trust the service. The whole process was smooth and transparent, which gave me peace of mind. I would definitely use them again.

Wasn’t informed that car would not be available till following day. I had to contact them. On the following day I wasn’t informed when or if my car would be available. Again I had to ring them to find out, very late in the day. Very poor. I will not use again.

Really impressed with garage used via AA this year, having car collected and returned was so much easier, v good service. In the past I’ve used garages who tell me more needs doing on my car, this year service and MOT got a clean bill of health. Thankyou!

Easy to arrange. Work carried out expertly and staff were pleasant and helpful.

The mechanic was brilliant, courteous and professional. The AA smart centre was on the in opposite, eventually after 10 emails we managed to sort out the invoice which originally attempted to over double charge me . In fact I threatened to withdraw my membership and car insurance before this was sorted out. I would suggest that little if any training was given in good customer service.

Pressurised into paying a lot more than I needed to with the threat of ‘well we will just put the old stuff back on’ would not recommend at all
