Brilliant service by truly professionals.

Engineer very good deluge off email that don’t add to experience disappointment

I was charged £269 for the full service, plus £39 for the MOT, making a total payment of £308. I felt that I had been overcharged because, when I checked the AA website, I noticed that the advertised price for a full service is £187. I did not notice that the price was stated as “from £187”, which means that £187 is the starting price and that the actual price may be higher depending on the vehicle and the work required.
I also feel that the response from customer service to my complaint could have been handled better.

Great communication plus an efficient service.

Transparent Service and MOT options at a good price. Easy to identify what you you will be getting. Easy to book. plenty of communication and reminders for the bookings. The chosen AA Smart Garage [Eco Tyres & Autocare, Southampton] was easy to deal with on the day from drop off to collection. I will use this service again next year.

The MOT was carried out efficiently. The centre manager was very helpful and informative. Would definitely use that garage again.

Having a mobile mechanic visit my home to conduct a full service on my car. It has been the best thing I have done for a while. It has allowed me to carry on with jobs in my home while the service was carried out.
I did not have to wait for a garage to phone me to say when my car was ready or worry about transport to the garage to get there before they closed.

Very happy with the service would use you again

Everything was booked and went seamless except for the latter part when i had to book for change of tyers which could not happen as the system would not let do it for an unknown reason.

Telephone customer service really poor. They messed up my appointment and acted as if it was my fault, then messed it up again! Really bad service and I’m gutted about it, as the mobile service where you can schedule repairs to your vehicle at home on your drive seemed such a relief, but nope. Just another careless company with no decent telephone training.

I was shocked and never informed that my payment for booking the garage through your website I would pay £89 for nothing. The garage also was awful. The haven’t fixed the problem and I’ve paid over £1000 for the work that was done!

Delays in approving work to proceed then work didn’t happen because the price AA quoted me the garage didn’t agree with. Had to phone AA many times to finally get this resolved. Won’t be using this again.

The mechanic was brilliant. He was earlier than expected and finished replacing the starter very quickly and he was very pleasant. The person I spoke to on the phone to make the booking was also brilliant. He could see the website wasn't working and couldn't have been more helpful. Where you lose is that the website wouldn't let me book a starter replacement on Sunday afternoon and when I rang the AA again, I was told nobody would be working at Smart Care on a Sunday and given a number to ring on Monday morning. The AA man who first came out (on Sunday) was excellent too, but he couldn't get a starter motor anywhere locally, or order one, on a Sunday and local garages were shut, so he told me to call Smart Care. My car was eventually fixed on Wednesday afternoon... and it's great, but for £340 a year paid to the AA it was a lot more complicated than I expected.

Arrived promptly and installed rear brakes in a good time

Part was not ordered until 5 days after the car broke down. I lied to consistently when enquiring about when the car would be fixed. The wrong part was ordered and had to wait until new part was ordered. New part arrived in AA stores, but was not fitted to the car until 5 days later (3 weeks it took to fix my car)
The mechanic however was great.

Easy to book ,technicain polite ,kept uptodate on appointment .
Arrived got on with work ,no problems occured.
As a disabled person this service was brilliant for myself .
Surprised your technician did not have a pop up cover ,we do have a lot of wet weather just a suggestion.
As a member for 45 years this is a service which was needed .

Straight forward and were able to get two tyres fitted to keep me mobile
