Shipment from UK to India

I had to send 5 cartons and a big trolley bag from London to Mumbai and they were delivered in less than 2 weeks and in a very good condition. I was duly asked to pack the cartons myself. The pick up guys were very helpful and the sales guy Bharat made the process very easy, the entire team was quite accommodating. I would recommend DTDC any day.

I availed DTDC courier services to send…

I availed DTDC courier services to send my stuff from the UK to Australia. I am extremely satisfied with the services - very professional, prompt door to door service and always available on the phone for any support. Excellent service overall.

Not worth the time & money

DPD didn't say that their delivery partner will be DTDC. Checking the reviews there are lot of complaints. DPD says 2-4 working days whereas calling DTDC they say 5-7 working days after getting the identification details which takes couple of days. Apart from that you get on the line with an unprofessional, rude and worst customer service executive who says this is normal and wait for the parcel to be delivered.
summary:
1. not being explicitly advised of the need for receiver's ID which could have been collected as part of the collection process.
2. call from DTDC asking for ID but won't tell you how to share the ID. you then make another call to find out how to share the details.
3. Not sure whether DTDC handles the ID details securely.
4. Even if you send the ID details to DTDC via email in few hours they will take 3 working days to check and start the delivery process.
5. In total took 7 working days and then comes the call from DTDC saying customs has been charged (in fact it is the GST) and you need to come, pay the money and collect the parcel.
6. Someone in your family then has to travel all the way to DTDC office and pay the money. No receipt will be provided for this money. I was wondering your job is to deliver the parcel but why making us to collect the parcel?
7. Finally you got the parcel and open it to see few ants running around (even though the parcel didn't contain anything to attract them and the box was well packed with 3 layers of bubble wrap). Not sure whether they store the parcels in a safe place.

Very poor service

Very poor service . I am very disappointed . I didn’t even want to give that one star, not worth it.
Last year my parcel took 3 months to be delivered to India , cause I was told that the agent with whom I booked with didn’t provide full documentation.
So this time I tried the e booking, which was worse. Didn’t allow me to print the labels, after which I received an email saying the customer service would call me, for which I didn’t receive any calls. I had to get in touch with the Uk team after which I was told the parcel had been sent.
More then 10 days now my parcel is still stuck in Delhi which was meant to be delivered for Christmas to my folks as a Christmas present .
Got in touch with the Delhi office who asked me to get in touch with the Uk team. Send emails , tried to get in touch after which I was assured that the parcel would reach the destination on 20/12/2019.
The status shows the parcel is still held up in Delhi. No response from the Uk team to rectify the issue.
Very very poor service.
Would never recommend dtdc to anyone
Totally annoyed
And now I will receive a reply back to this feedback saying, ohhh we are sorry for the inconvenience... we are trying to solve the issues and blah blahh blahhh.
Don’t even give me that crap... just find out why the parcel is held up and send it ASAP . You people don’t care about sentiments .
Just take money and then offer an useless service

Collection refused

I had booked a collection from DTDC, paying extra for the collection. While booking I had read clearly that for collection the pickup guy is responsible for printing and attaching the label. But the courier guy came and went away, mentioning that we are responsible for printing and attaching the label.
On contacting the customer support, they sent me a long list of terms and conditions, which in the end mentions: "In some cases, you will be provided with labels over emails even if you have chosen collection/pickup ...". So, I am supposed to spend an eternity reading and deducing their terms and conditions and finding out what is the meaning of 'some cases' and if I fall into it or not. No where, was it mentioned clearly that I need to print the label or how to deduce if I need to print the label. They did offer to pick it up again but only if I print the label as sent on email, but I did not find any label itself. Later, when specifically pointed out, only then I came to know there is a small 'View' link on the email to print the label which is hardly noticeable and why would you search for it when you do not even know that you fall in the 'some cases' category. Even, if I had got that, it was not possible to print it at such a short notice as I was at work while the courier was at my house. Worst was their attitude, which seems to suggest that I should be knowing their systems like the back of my hand and it was my fault and that they will do a big favour to me by refunding my amount.
Have booked pickup with other couriers, who are so much more professional and never ever had an issues. Avoid DTDC.

We apologize for the Inconvenience faced, you had booked the collection through one of our third party vendors and when we told you that please paste the label we can rearrange the collection for you, you were not really listening or trying to understand the process as without the labels the collection guy won't pick it up, after multiple times trying to explain you the situation you are still adamant that you won't paste the label, putting up a bad review doesn't sound justified in this case as we are here to help you out unless you are willing to listen. Great Service to send goods abroad

I had used their services to send my personal items to India from UK, and it was completed very smoothly. They helped and guided me through the whole process including the customs at India. Appreciate the service and quick transfer of my goods.

STRAIGHT FORWARD SERVICE

First time sending packages abroad, the gentlemen at DTDC made sure I have done every step right to have my packages delivered all the way to India from London, smoothly.

If you want to trust a company with your belongings, DTDC it is !

Super quick delivery

I had recently sent two parcels to India through DTDC and i had a very pleasant experience with them. They were very helpful and guided me throughout the process. Please try not to send liquids and inflamables in the packages and i did not. All my items were delivered on time and and i have received proper receipts for the same. Last but not least they responded to all my queries over email and over phone quickly. Keep up the service guys.

Lots of problems for just sending your small parcel to India

These will take your money. Then you will get an email saying that adhar card of the receiver is required to deliver. Then on top of that, they will also demand a huge amount of money from the receiver too! Then if you decide not to go ahead with your order, they will not refund you your money. So, your parcel will not be delivered plus you will have to deal with a rude guy called V***k at their Feltham centre, who started talking with me in Hindi when he was angry! So unprofessional.
Only £5 refund was given when I had paid £22 for sending it to India.
Even when I received my parcel which was send back from their Feltham centre, the contents were squashed!
He was claiming that it was my mistake that I didn't read their conditions! Utter rubbish, as they failed to explain it clearly and there was no mention of adhar card or this compulsory payment from the receiver. All it said was that the end receiver may have to pay, which is such a vague message, not related to any GST their other head office guy was talking about.
A suggestion for you to improve your ratings:Please make it clearer to the receiver maybe with a pop up window while their purchase is in progress that an additional payment will be required, plus aadhar card etc.
Please use another courier company, don't send parcels to India through these traders. You will most likely regret.

Thanks for the feedback, but please not do put things which are not committed, It clearly mentioned in our website that receiver KYC ( proper ID card of the receiver)is necessary as these are the requirements for clearance purpose, secondly there may be custom duties in India after clearance, it clearly mentioned in our website where you have booked the shipment from, thirdly when we told you everything you started saying i won't be able to send the KYC and i won't pay any duties, as its was not mentioned anywhere, please go through our website everything is clearly mentioned and we send lots of parcels on a daily basis with no hassles, we need to follow the law of indian customs and that what i explained to you and requested you but you didn't wanted to pay the duties if asked for , neither you wanted to send the ID of the receiver. Please note DTDC is in business for last 30 years and we follow certain principles and protocol. Thanks DTDC Team

Disgusting customer service

Disgusting customer service. I still haven't received my parcel. Manager was supposed to call me and still hasn't bothered. Nobody answers the phone. Unprofessional, rude, careless, pathetic and expensive. Why do even give one star???? They should get 0 or minus.

Very, Very Poor - Totally NOT recommended.

Very, very poor service indeed. They have been going for 28 years and they still have not got their act right. I send some goods from the UK on behalf of a colleague. The goods arrived damaged. On receiving my complaint instead of trying to find a solution, DTDC tried to argue that I was not the sender. Terrible customer services indeed!!

Firstly, the driver who came to pick up the goods threw the parcels into the back of his van right in front of us and when I asked his name he wouldn't give it. DTDC says they use third party for their pick-up and so they are unable to do anything about this. Although our agreement is with DTDC they wish to refuse responsibility on this aspect. Guess what – the goods arrived at the receiver’s end damaged. Secondly, DTDC never provided a custom declaration form and consequently the receiver got stung by customs on used goods - i.e., used clothes! Also the consignment (6 parcels in total) was split into 2 lots and the receiver paid 2 lots of handling fees and 2 different custom charges - wait for this - ON THE SAME GOODS described as follows on both invoices: "FITTED BED SHEET (DOUBLE) LADIES TOP KIDS RUCKSACK (NEMO) BAG STRAP PILLOW CASE WITH RED POPPY MOTIF~KIDS DISNEYPIXAR CARS MOTIF PLASTIC". Of course, I accept Customs are not under DTDC control, but DTDC's customer services are really great until the point of confirming the order and then it takes a complete nose dive. So readers please be aware. I absolutely would not recommend DTDC on the grounds of (a) Accepting Liability: NO STARS HERE (b) Customer Services: NO STARS HERE (c) Damage to goods: NO STARS HERE and (d) Reliability to give you all the required paperwork: NO STARS HERE EITHER.

Damaged parcel and no credibility

I had ordered my racket and baggage to be delivered from Glasgow to Pune in March (consignment number 520900896692) . They broke my racket and delivered it. Upon receiving the damaged racket, I reported it to the UK team who kept on saying in loops that they would get back. Had to go through endless mails of "We will get back" even after providing all the documents they needed. They even said they would provide the refund in the end which was 3 weeks back, unfortunately only to not really refund me the amount. When I drop mails again to the UK team including the branch manager nobody replies, thereby again being mum on the refund for the damages done!
No credibility and definitely no customer value from these bunch of folks! For people trying to use this, please do it only if you wish to get your stuff damaged and getting no credibility from them even if you have paid for that!

I am very much disappointed with the service , cargo picked from UK on 24 Jan 18 and not delivered until today 10 Feb. Worst thing is person responsible from UK does not even respond to emails :( .
Think before you opt for this service.

Try to avoid especially if sending anything to India

When moving back from London, I tried sending one box of personal belongings to India. DTDC were -

(1) Slow: DPD didn’t turn up to collect my parcel and lied about it. DTDC picked it up after I complained, then took >3 weeks to deliver.

(2) Unresponsive: No updates, no requests for any additional information required (they just put my parcel on hold and didn’t bother to inform me), slow replies to some emails and none to the rest.

(3) Misinformed about Customs procedures (there are no import duties or GST on used personal items if declared properly). Also refused to follow simple instructions from customs officials in India, who were - seriously - far better informed, professional and helpful.

DTDC are cheaper than DHL etc. but expect weeks of stress and confusion. Also note many more negative reviews for DTDC Global Express (the same company) on TrustPilot.

Worst ever service possible !!!!

Worst ever service possible !!!!
Tried to send an parcel using DTDC from UK to India. Initially there is problem with UPS to Pickup so it got delayed by 2 days. DTDC informed me it's a problem with UPS.
Now once the parcel reached DTDC on 21st of September it was no update. Upon request via email update provided on 26th. again from 27th till date no update has been provided. I Sent an email to the customer Care Email customersupport which auto replied as invalid consignment number and direct to enquiry. Upon emailing enquiry it said the email ID does not exists. I tried every channel possible to contact them. Though there UK team is reachable via email but they are absolute clueless. Feeling really helpless with this hopeless service.
