I have just returned from the Glories of China tour. I have travelled to countries around the world solo and with other single day tour guides, but my experience with Wendy Wu has exceeded them all. What an experience! The full tour was arranged to the smallest detail at every step to make sure you experience every possible aspect of Chinese culture, history and food, including all entry fees to sites and pickup and drop off at the airport. A huge mention has to go to our guide Addison, who was with us throughout the tour. His knowledge, professionalism and brilliant personality made the tour so interesting, engaging and fun, bringing everyone on the tour together through his warmth and humour. I’ve come away not only feeling I’ve experienced the trip of a life time, but I’ve also gained a huge incite into China and also made many new friends, including Addison. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough and I’m already looking at further tours with Wendy Wu for next year.

An excellent tour group, seamless booking, coordination, travel documents and pre holiday requirements. Excellent tour guides, including local guides making a magical experience even more memorable.

Just returned from an amazing Wendy Wu Glories of China tour. Although it was a busy tour, our tour guide Addison made it fun and turned us all from touring companions into Addison' s family. 5* to the guides (Addison, Stephen, Oskar and Shannon) who just wanted us to experience as much of China as possible and have fun. Highly recommend it

Recently returned from a 28 day tour of China on the silk road tour with an additional 3 days in Hong Kong. I would recommend this tour.
Prior to the trip well organised provision of literature. Well laid out itinerary, very informative. Only negative comment was having to ask on 3 occasions about the visa as things have changed. Pleas note that < 30days you dont require one.
Met at the airport by our guide Eddie whom we had for the entire tour. Eddie ensured that we remained at all times informed of daily actives during our tour. He also ensured that we remained safe at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. He even took me to a pharmacy when i was ill.
The tour itself was busy and tiring but thoroughly enjoyable.
Our guide Eddie was excellent throughout our tour, He has worked for the company 20 years and this shows. Always there to help and guide people with additional needs outside of the tour. Unfortunately one of the ladies suffered a heart attack early in the tour. Eddie ensured that this lady was taken care of swiftly and effectively.
The tour took us through China and Tibet. This involved numerous hours on a coach, 4 bullet trains and 2 internal flights. Eddie ensured that everything ran smoothly and we remained safe and informed at all times.
We also had local guides x 4. Russell and Orlando were great. My only negative comment would refer to the first local guide we had called Roc. He disregarded the audience of people on the tour, whom were all of retirement age and all very well travelled. He was at times rude, arrogant and disrespectful.
Overal i would highly recommend the company and the tour if your thinking of touring around China :)

I have just completed the Wonders of China trip with Wendy Wu Tours and what a fabulous trip I had. The national guide, Sophie Jin made the trip a 5* trip, her attention to detail was brilliant. She was so organised and knowledgable about every trip and city we visited. She has such a caring and thoughtful nature towards her travellers and she did her upmost to make sure every guest was having the best time. I definitely recommend taking a Wendy Wu trip and would request Sophie Jin as my tour guide. Well done Sophie for being professional with a caring and funny nature.

I have just returned from my first trip on the glories of china and what a fantastic, well organised trip from start to finish. The food was all varied and of high quality and the gluten free requirements were met at all times even for the packed lunches. All of our guides were very knowledgeable but the tour leader Addison was truly exceptional. He catered for all our needs and made sure that we were all with him and with a group of 26 it wasn't an easy task especially as some had walking difficulties. Addison made sure that everyone was catered for in every way.
The hotels were all superb. The cities and countryside were sensational.
I look forward to the Tibet trip to be guided by Addison!!!

Our adventure from Sydney airport to Shanghai, from Shanghai to Bejing, from Bejing back to Sydney was efficiently organised & totally enjoyable.
Our tour guide Addison was knowledgeable, easy to understand, helpful & empathetic.
The accommodation, food & internal transport were all good & our adventure progressed as expected.

What an amazing trip to china. We have just returned from a trip on the glories of china. What an amazing well organised trip from start to finish. The food was all very tasty and a variation. My gluten free requirements were met at all times even for the packed lunches and the food at the shows. All of our guides were very knowledgeable but Addison was truly amazing. He catered for all our needs and made sure that we were all with him and with a group of 26 it wasn't an easy task especially as some had walking difficulties. Addison made sure that they could manage the activities. He clearly told us every step of the way what was going to happen next and tomorrow.
The hotels were all superb and each room was very spacious. Some of the hotels were by other bars and restaurants but some were away from any life outside the hotel.
The cities were extremely huge, busy and the light shows at night were just something we have never seen before. The more countryside was still bustling with life.
What's trip one I will never forget.

Inspiring India. My second tour with Wendy Wu. I enjoyed the first one so decided to book this one. Hotels top class, food all lovely. Tour guide Jasvid was amazing with his knowledge and history of India he gave us some great stories on some long journeys between locations. Coach driver Mr Singh and his helper Amir were really good too. We stayed on the same air conditioned coach for the whole tour which was excellent. A great experience visit India and I will book with Wendy Wu in future

What an excellent experience! Japan was amazing. Well done Wendy Woo, you made this trip so memorable. Everything was so well organised, the hotels, the trips were all first class. A big Thankyou to our guide Mari, she was absolutely brilliant. Would highly recommend Wendy Woo !

I was going on a trip to India but cancelling on checking views on various review sites poor food quality / hotel food / bus maintenance issues hotels wrongly graded sub standard Japan tours constant food issues same on India when you pay thousands of $ you expect a certain standard of service be careful thoughly check sites before you part with money ok hope this helps you

Well constructed tour reflected what was promised in itinerary. The Inspiring China itinerary was great for us, offering a taster experience for first time traveller and something new for a return to China traveller (we had one of each as a couple). Great service pre-trip - easy to access a consultant and quick response to queries. Guides on tour were excellent, especially the national guide George who was an experienced professional while friendly and open and understood needs of the group. Fantastic range of sites and experiences, hotels all suitable with excellent locations. Never hungry! Would definitely seek out Wendy Wu again for future travel tours.

Smooth journey throughout, saw amazing things, nice tour group, great tour lead

Had a very good tour guide, a great group of people to travel with. The "Big One" China tour is long and covers plenty. The change of weather, long days and the difference in temperatures. Is all worth while, China isn't a typical holiday destination. The logistics behind Wend Wu, is very good. My biggest take away from China is the size and differences in places. I preferred the country side. Possibly as I live in London.
I would advise asking if you can book direct flights, I wish we had.

The Ultimate China tour was a fast paced whistle stop 27 day tour of China and Tibet. It included many of the obvious attrations such as the Forbidden City, Great Wall, Terracotta Army and Shanghai as well as some hidden treasures such as Lhasa, Shangrila, Zhangjiajie Forest Park, and Yangtze River and Li River cruises viewing the 3 Gorges Dam and Karst Peaks to name but a few. So much to see.

Our national guide, CiCi, who stayed with us throughout the tour, was magnificent. She looked after everything from hotel check ins to transportation timings and ensured everything went to plan. She was always available to explain things or help when needed and never once gave the impression that anything was too much trouble.
She is a credit to the company and I'm sure will go far.

The hotels were totally acceptable (in fact they exceeded what we were expecting), the transportation services were all adequate (trains, planes, coaches, boats and mini buses) and the food offerings were adequate (we could always find something to eat from the assortment that was offered at breakfast, lunch or dinner but don't expect fine dining).

The only criticism is that some of the local guides in the individual towns/cities weren't quite up to CiCi's level when it came to their standard of spoken english and this did impact a little as it was sometimes difficult to understand them. All in all though a very good, well organised, and reasonably priced tour of China.

We just got back from Japan, & I'm sure Wendy Woo don't care about reviews & customers bad experiences. All rushed, full on, we expected this, but the last day was supposed to be visiting Osaka castle, we spent a total of 15 minutes there, the boat cruise was 30 mins along a boring, dirty canal, no views of anything interesting , no glitzy high buildings etc. All in all, an expensive disappointing trip, luckily I didn't extend it to Hiroshima, as some did, they said they had a bad time & are complaining about their terrible tour guide.

The tour guides were able to share their knowledge and help in understanding the real China. Lovely to share their pride in their amazing country.
