Globalpenfriends website ask for my Utility bill after i log from different location,hey do they never heard about VPN,if will give my utility bill i will give all my privacy on their plate ,how weird is that Sally? they know what they're into,they sell your info to third parties after they gather enough info about you.

This originally was supposed to be a non-romance site. I was on it for less than a year but found the men were strange to say the least. Also one Aussie from Perth was using the site in fraudulent ways. He lied about his picture, his background and his "so-called" connection with the United States. I should have reported him but just wanted to quit the site immediately.

That's an awful site. First a penfriend is interested in you, says nice words, supports you, and then... Loses his or her interest. No matter Brazil, Turkey, Mexico it is all the same. They just pierce your heart these awful "penfriends"

Very suspicious… they asked VERY detailed information they wanted your specific address, asking city and country is understandable BUT wanting someone’s specific address and even post code is VERY dreadful and without giving them guarantee that this personal information is safe is also a huge red flag… I still don’t understand why would this site need this type of personal information.

i used that site for years and payed the admin is very stubborn and think he is god
he is unfair
arogant not helpful
there just delated my account for a silly reasion
saying people blocked me
i didn't do anything wrong or bad
but i think the admins don't like germans
very strange

This platform seemed like a great idea as someone who wanted to try to make some new friends online.
However, I encountered a user who was frequently trying to contact me, insisting that we take our conversations off the website before even introducing themself and proceeding to send me up to 3 messages per day, despite me never replying. After notifying the admin team of this user, since I felt quite uncomfortable, they suspended their account due to inappropriate contact.

However, this user kept making new accounts, which kept getting approved by their admin. The security on this website is horrendous and even after emailing the admin team directly, nothing was done to stop this user creating new accounts to message me from every time I blocked them (even though I had suspended my account, meaning they shouldn't have been able to contact me).

After viewing this website with hope and having some nice interactions, this experience has completely ruined it for me and has discouraged me from seeking any form of online pen pal again.

My daughter wanted a penpal so we chose this site.

I was reassured by the safety measures they have in place for young children (e,g. no real names or pictures of themselves, and being able to specify an age range when searching for prospective penpals).

I was also pleased that membership is free, in case this turned out to be a short-lived fad.

My daughter has made a friend overseas and is really enjoying getting to know them. They are messaging and writing, and I’m able to check all incoming and outgoing messages.

So for us, this site’s working really well and we’ve had a good experience so far.

I waited 10+ hours for my profile to be approved, even though I paid for premium membership with express approval. Per the website, it should have taken between 2 and 10 hours even without express treatment.
When I got tired of waiting and cancelled my account, they refused to refund the money, even though I'd been a member for less than 24 hours and unable to find penpals because my profile wasn't approved! DUH!
Lo and behold, when I opened a dispute with PayPal, I got a response right away! 😂

Es fängt ja schon einmal damit an dass man dort nicht nur das Profil freischalten lassen muss, sondern auch nur jede kleinste Veränderung einer Profilangabe und ist sie noch so klein einer Bewilligung durch den Admin bedarf. Dann hängt das Profil erstmal stundenlang in der Warteschleife während man zwischenzeitlich nichts tun kann, nicht einmal Profilangaben anderer Leute anzuschauen. So eine nutzerunfreundliche Kontaktseite habe ich noch nie erlebt. Auch wenn man Spam und Betrüger abhalten will, aber das geht auch anders.

Was aber dem ganzen noch die Krone aufgesetzt hat: Ich habe ein farblich bearbeitetes Gesichtsfoto von mir hochgeladen, ähnlich wie eine s/w-Bearbeitung aber mit weniger Grauanteilen und stärkerer Kontrastierung. Ansonsten bin ich das auf dem Foto wie ich nunmal bin. Dieses Foto wurde abgelehnt und mein Profil auf dauerhafte Warteschleife gesetzt so lange ich dieses Foto nicht ändern tu oder lösche. Nein, ich habe übrigens keine Gesichtstattoos schon garnicht mit verwerflichen Symbolen oder es war sonst irgendwas dabei das man beanstanden könnte. Und der Witz an der Sache: Es gibt auf der Seite genug Profile mit Fotos wo man die Person nur von hinten sieht, oder ganz klein einige Meter im Hintergrund des Fotos, oder seitlich mit Sonnenbrille usw. usw. und dann wird mein Gesichtsbild nicht akzeptiert? Nur weil es farblich und vom Kontrast etwas bearbeitet wurde?

Es kann sich ja jeder selbst von so einem Verhalten ein Bild machen. Ich habe jedenfalls das Gefühl hier möchte jemand bewusst nach subjektiven Maßstäben Kontaktbörsen-Polizei und Richter spielen und kommt sich dabei sehr stark und mächtig vor Entscheidungen willkürlich treffen zu können.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A PENPAL MESSAGE FROM A 13YEARS OLD GIRL ON HER PROFILE.

We submitted a profile for my daughter to hopefully correspond with other kids from other countries online- but her profile was rejected for not including a current photo. Despite the fact that she is only 11, and this is clear from the profile information. No way should a parent be expected to post images of their children online. We submitted a favourite drawing of a dog instead as her avatar image - but no, they want her photograph. She was very disappointed at the rejection. Emailed request for explanation for the rejection sent to their nominated address just bounces. Feels like something fishy may be going on here - I would avoid letting your kids anywhere near this site.

I literally just signed up today for an account, and within a few hours of doing so, guess what… they logged me out!

In months have only been contacted by 2 men in Oz & a smile from a female who i smiled back at ( Emoji)
Speaking on the site by email; one is a complete narcissist & never ever asks me about myself but just moans about his wife (she has gone on months long holiday No wonder) life, surgeries etc & boasts nonstop.about his many money making careers such as giving massages, posing nude for artists; he took art classes but preferred to make rather than pay any money he said.... Always a know it all on any topic ( is rather unknowledgeable about politics which he says he worked in or applied to work in) I mentioned my partner died 2 years ago & he ignored in his next reply & carried on as usual. Unfortunately i will have to stop contact
Other guy said he only does 'snail mail' so wrote ro me 2 weeks ago & i received a beautifully handwitten letter from him today with some photos. It was lovely to get and I will reply. He seems a great person.
I contacted a female to correspond with because we seemed to share sime i terests & she politely said 'no' I got the inpression she just wanted to communicate with men which is fine.

Will see how it goes seen a few profiles that i have things in common with i would like some female penfriends ideally but no idea if anyone will connect.

Would put 4 stars if more contacted me pri cpuld contact some but when i try just 2 or 3 appear but i will try. I dont have a photo on there so maybe that would help. It ispossible to upgrade by paying but i havent looked into that
Just saw a review online today about 'Global Penfriends' which was written by a black man whose whole profile ie photos etc was deleted from the site with no explanation or assistance. He feels very upset because racism serms to be the motive...

I signed up optimistically for a year but was driven away within 24 hours by creepy men trying to contact me. One individual had disturbing interests, such as demonology and serial killers and it concerns me that your home address could be accessible if you share it for those wanting to have a traditional pen pal, I am glad I didn't share my address. When I tried to cancel, they insisted I pay for the full year due to contacting four people within 24 hours, a privilege of premium membership. They immediately accessed my private messages with the one female member I had created rapport with and quoted my personal message commenting 'what a good contact I had made'. They did this without my permission and prior to ever communicating with me. They accused me of using the platform to simply share my email address, which isn't against the rules to share your contact details with other members. They quoted my personal message, without my permission, to show how I had told the member I was leaving the platform due to the discomfort I felt, they made commentary on this personal message and told me that I should not have cancelled but I should request for them to instead block all men, which was unfair, that's not what I signed up for and you should not be reading my private messages. The platform turned out to be a disappointing place for creepy encounters and staff that break General Data Protection Regulations that protect European and British users. They ignored my responses and prioritized profit over customer satisfaction. PayPal couldn't assist me, as they technically delivered their product and I had used it. The platform is filled with uncomfortable encounters and fails to deliver on its promises. Their attitude speaks volumes about their priorities. It's unlikely to endure, and I hope they learn to treat customers better. Consider a different platform. The most concerning thing to me is that they've broken the GDPR law by reading through my private messages and I plan to report them for their breach of the law.

Das beste aber ist das ich mit einer Frau aus Japan geschrieben habe.
Naja nach gewisser Zeit tauschten wir unsre Line ID's und schrieben per Line.

It's not free. You can only look at your online mail 5 times for free, then you must pay to see mail or upgrade to premium. These 5 times are conveniently used up before a day is out, by the bombardement of single, middle aged men who 'smile' at you and message you. Even though I stated I want snail mail friends, and I'm interested in animals. Those contacting me want online communication and are interested in cars. So my 5 free mail box checks were useless. Creepy men, greedy site and colossal waste of time.

Great Site - very inclusive. I use for snail mail and internet pals. Love it and love how they remove the middle age men looking for something more than penpals :)

Racist admin and staff. RUN !

I recently tried to subscribe as a black man originally from Europe, but currently residing in Africa, filled a profile (photos included), was able to login to the site, then the next day when I tried to login: "The email or password is incorrect. Note we have updated the site. All users login with their email now."
Tells you everything to know. They didn't sent me any notice they deleted my profile. This is disgusting to the highest degree. To treat people like dirt like that just because of their skin color. What they did in secret to me and many other black people for sure, everybody in the world should know about this and boycott them !

Joined Global Penfriends a few years ago. Will keep this simple as i'm not big into reviews but want to share this gem as I have been a free member for a while now.

The site is easy to use, use your email to create a profile. Create your profile, wait for approval by a human (what?? i know - an actual human will review your profile). Start sending messages and smiles.

It works great - i had penpals within days and some i continued writing to and other drifted away - but thats life isn't it.
