Very efficient

Home Energy Save is a professional organisation. Same day telephone response to online enquiry with onsite damp survey carried out soon thereafter.
I found the reception staff to be friendly, and knowledgeable regarding the issues I was having.
The surveyor (Johnny) was friendly and polite and fully explained the potential causes of damp prior to carrying out extensive testing of the damp locations.
Following the testing he confirmed that the higher reading locations did not warrant treatment and was to be expected in a period property.
The survey and measurements took some two hours for which there was no charge.
I selected this organisation from a Google search and I certainly made the right choice. Accordingly, I would strongly recommend.

Extremely dissatisfied with this service and would not encourage anyone to go with this service.

I submitted a request for a FREE survey (as explicitly advertised on their website) and they replied within the hour which I found oddly quick for a weekend. (This is only
Free IF you go with them as a company).

They booked me a survey for the next day and then an hour after the specialist was due to arrive I received a call to say he wasn’t coming so had waited in for nothing. They agreed to knock off £250 as a result. I found it odd that they were willing to knock off so much money for this, it seemed a red flag.

The specialist came the next day. His approach was to scare monger, shake his head at the readings and create a level of fear that left me feeling highly anxious. He had a big speech about how the company was highly regulated and accredited to justify their higher prices.

I then happened to mention that I was in a dispute with a previous surveyor company who had not picked up on the mould and that I wanted to use the ‘free’ survey report to evidence the work that was required, but was willing to use their company. This led to him going back to his car to make a call to the company who informed that they were unable to complete the survey.

He also didn’t like the idea that I wanted to get multiple quotes which as a single woman who knows very little about damp courses etc, I find rather unusual that a tradesperson would try and discourage me from this?

I was then told that the company would contact me by the end of the week which they never. This was quite the contrast to them contacting me promptly and repeatedly when wanting to book in the work.

I am honestly confused as to how this company have excellent reviews when my experience was so poor.

I contacted this company on the 19th August 2026
and enquired about a damp proof course problem I had, from the first call they where professional and they said that they could supply a surveyor to come and diagnose the problem free of charge and he turned up on time and diagnosed the problem and then I was informed that they could supply the engineers the following day to rectify the fault, the engineers turned up on time and carried out the rectification work and throughout the whole procedure it was explained to me what they where doing and why. That is why I have given Home Energy Save GB LTD a five star rating.

This has genuinely been the worst experience I've had with a company. They used pressure tactics to get me to agree on the spot to an expensive damp proofing (your cellar is dangerous, if you agree now, I'll get you on our Flexi spot with a discount). Then they sent unqualified people round to remove my radiator and damp proof the wall. Instead of properly capping the radiator, they used duct tape to stop the water leaking through. This caused a leak (surprise surprise) which meant my boiler didn't work and I had no hot water for 3 days. They lied and tried to tell me it was because of how my boiler works. They then sent out an emergency plumber without telling me id need to pay him! Probably most concerning was that one of the workers had been in my bedroom without my consent (and there was absolutely no need for them to be in there). As a single woman living alone, this was terrifying and the company said nothing about it when I brought it up. Incredibly shoddy work and honestly I wouldn't be surprised if this was a big scam.

Great experiance from start to finish from the first point of contact to the survey and the job being completed with just over a week can not thank you enoughe with getting this problem sorted.

Got quoted for the job at 21k, but if I signed on the day then it would be 18k! It's a proper sales tactic and I had to play along until I got really angry with it. I managed to get a proper surveyor in who charged a fraction of what they quoted, and actually got to the root cause of the issue. Not a good experience at all and they need to look at their processes!

I contacted Home energy save GB, with a rising damp problem. They were proffessional with the survey outlining what the problem was and a soloution. Nic & carl carried out the repair work of stripping back my wall to brick and applying a soloution before plastering after drying out.proccess. my guttering was also extended and and a chemical wash of external wall. They cleaned up after wards and disposed of rubbish on the way out. Happy with the work carried out over two days. Waitng for plaster to dry properly in order to apply paint & decorate. An expectation of work will also follow. I am happy to promote this company and hopefully my rising damp is no more.

The two guys that arrived today to complete the Damp proof and Timber work were fantastic. They kept me informed every step.of the process and worked like troopers.

Alex and Ben were brilliant, turned up nice and early, made me aware of everything that’s getting done, they were very helpful and polite, would 100% recommend

Sam and paul arrived on time and very honest and reliable they took videos and showed me the work thats been done they have done a fantastic job well done guys and thankyou to chris for coming to see us too.

Josh and Tommy were professional throughout, explaining the process step by step. They did a great job and left everywhere clean and tidy.

Excellent from start ti finish. Quote orocess everything explained. The teams that came out to do the work were just as good. Showed me and talked me trough the process from start to finish. Would highly recommend

Sam and Paul turned up on time. Carried out the work in a professional manner. Left my property in a clean order and explained the workings of the Dmev and the PIV unit. Would recommend to friends and family

Carl and Rob were great, they both worked very professional throughout their time at our house, they cleaned up after themselves at various points and were very mindful of our toddler and baby with leaving things around. They both kept us in the loop the entire time and we are very pleased and grateful for everything they have done. All work is top notch and I would highly recommend.

The only disappointment we have is small and is not with the builders but with the surveyor, the man was lovely but he did tell us they could order any aqua panels we wanted for the shower, my partner was very excited for green ones but for whatever reason this did not happen and we had to have different ones. The builders got me to come personally with them in their van so I could choose alternatives ones we were happy with, they are still nice aqua panels and we are thankful that they took the time to take me out for this rather than just randomly select one, but it would have been better for the surveyor to be honest about what options were available to us.

Overall the experience we have had has been great and I would recommend the team, especially Carl and Rob the builders.

Very professional damp proofing completed this morning. They left everything neat and tidy.

We started off with a hitch that was overlooked, but to the workmen skill and knowledge thia was soon sorted, they got down to rectifying my damp problem, skillfully , well done lads

We had damp proof work and mould removal done at our house and both teams were quick, efficient and friendly.

The workman arrived much earlier than expected (the initial text message said they would arrive after 1:30pm, but they came mid morning) and only carried out part of the work I expected. It was only when I refused to sign the paperwork and pay the outstanding balance that they agreed to finish all of the work. They seemed openly unhappy about having to do the work (which had clearly not been communicated to them by their colleague to did the assessment and quote) and this led to a confrontation between us and feelings of discomfort on my part when I insisted I wanted all of the work I had been quoted for carrying out. They did return and carry out all of the agreed work later that day.

The job was not cheap, and the clear lack of communication and disorganisation within the company was concerning. Also, when the workman left, they left behind documents containing other customers' data, which was another red flag about the professionalism and disorganisation of the company.

The workman also left a horrendous mess when he left. I had been assured that all mess would be cleaned up and everything returned to how it was beforehand. Everything was covered in dust and filth.
