Took my daughter there as she was looking to buy her first “proper” car for herself, she test drove a couple and chose to spend £9000 on a Nissan Pulsar, so not the cheapest car on the lot but she loved it. The first thing to mention is that you will not pay the price you see on the car as they add a few hundred pounds on as they apply an admin fee which they claim covers staff wages etc., the second thing to mention is that they really try to push you into buying their warranty and treatment packages. We agreed to buy the car but wanted to check other finance options before committing to theirs so offered to leave a deposit, initially they wanted a £1000 which seemed a lot (especially as I had enquired previously and been told they £250 would reserve a vehicle) but agreed on leaving £200 as we would let them know within 24 hours whether we be using their finance or not. As it happened we went for lunch and checked other options and the rates were similar, so for ease we decided to use their finance and went straight back to the dealership, completed the paperwork and the deal. My daughter was excited to get the car and wanted to collect a.s.a.p but they said they needed 7-10 days to prep the car so we agreed to collect it the following Saturday. On Friday we were told the car wouldn’t be ready so moved the collection date back to Tuesday afternoon to work around our shift patterns. On Tuesday morning we were told the alloys hadn’t been sprayed but it was going to be done that day, so we agreed to pick it up at 10.00am on Wednesday morning instead when everything would be done. We live an hour away from the dealership and on the down, she noticed she had a text from the sales guy the night before sent at 6.30pm to say, the car had not been valeted and wouldn’t be ready until 3.00pm but at that time we were already over halfway into the journey so decided to continue as it would have been over another week before our shifts aligned and we would have been able to collect the car. My daughter tried to ring the sales person but he didn’t answer. When we arrived we said we would take the car without the valet and suggested they could give us something towards us getting a valet ourselves only to be told that the car wasn’t there it was still at the sprayers waiting for the paint to dry, so it seems they had lied to us previously. We were told the car wouldn’t be ready until 3pm that day, obviously we weren’t happy and I couldn’t go back later as I was at work. After a phone call by “the boss” we were told they could get the car back by 1pm, so my daughter decided to wait because she didn’t want to have to go back again. The boss said as compensation he would fill the petrol tank, but I said the petrol tank was nearly full on the test drive (the sales guy had made a point of this when showing the car), so maybe he could give £50 instead and he said “I’ll see what I can do”. At that point I had to leave for work so dropped my daughter in Morecambe so she could kill some time until the car was ready. In the end it was after 3pm before my daughter was able to drive away, she didn’t get any petrol money as offered (maybe because I wasn’t there to support her) and the tank was only half full (maybe they had been using it as a run around ??) and the tyre pressure warning lights were on!!, so what should have been a wonderful, exciting experience left her feeling flat and stressed, so, “NO” we would not recommend these dealers
