Great service from Mark Horne

Great service from Mark Horne, he is a true professional at his job, but I have just noticed the same holiday I booked is cheaper on another site which is not Marks fault. Hopefully someone will contact me regarding this. As I have booked this holiday for my wife.

Asked for a quote on a cruise via email…

Asked for a quote on a cruise via email and received quick response from Plant Cruise. Unfortunately the dates I requested clashed with another appointment therefore was not suitable. The quote was generated by Katie Pound who followed up with a phone call. I explained the clash of the dates therefore I will look into another cruise later in the month. Received at a later date a message from Katie was I still interested in a cruise. Cut a long story short booked a cruise with Katie who explained everything with a late deal.The whole booking was easy with the confirmation sent by email.Smooth communication/trans action excellent service and support.

Holland and American ship
Zaadam today declared a broken engine , and holiday cancelled only want to give 50% refund even though most people here it’s a hoilday of lifetime, 7 nites cruise most people have hotel they paid for the nite before they board , we in Juneau going to take 4 days back and people arriving won’t know they holiday has problems we going past one of our stops only about 3 hours sail from here . I would hate people to board have same problems as engine got to be fixed before next cruise sails . On wed 10 June 2026

Banging our heads against a brick wall…

Banging our heads against a brick wall….
Booked a P&O cruise through Planet Cruise to sail on 30th August 2026. Unfortunately had to cancel due to medical issues. Was assured by Planet Cruise that we would receive a full refund - minus our deposit, plus admin fee of £25 each, so we would lose £538 in total and would receive a refund of £4108.
Today received an email that we will only receive half the cost of the cruise back!! (£2439)
Have spent all week on the phone and live chat with them to be getting nowhere. Nobody is taking ownership and nobody replies to emails.
We gave notice of cancellation 95 days before the sailing date and have email trails and livechat transcripts to back this up..along with emails confirming that we would be refunded £4108.
It seems that Planet Cruise did not action our cancellation when they received it, and waited until *after* the 90 days before sailing deadline….
We feel very let down and don’t know where to go from here…
Planet Cruise, please make contact to rectify your mistake

Planet Cruise Review

Online or over the phone?

Generally speaking the performance of cruise travel agents over the phone is poor.

They are Sales and not customer focussed.

You can only call them during office hours. And they only want to speak with you, when you're ready to book. They'll never help you find the right cruise. There's no real point in them.

Therefore a way of booking online, without having to involve them at all is very important.

Planet cruise does this very well, with only a few minor issues.

The booking and search feature is excellent. However, you can only search for a specific date or month. Whilst other sites allow you to select and customise your period search. Such as from sept 2026 to March 2027.

Another issue and reason for me often using another travel agent. Is the inability to search a family cabin for 5 or more people. This has been an issue with the planet cruise website for a long time.

I just did a check with the same ship and cruise. Planet would only let me choose a cabin of 4. While a competitor site allowed me to book for my family of 5. Rather than wait on the phone with planet, I will use the other site to book.

Planet also doesn't send you a downloadable confirmation invoice.
You will always need Internet access and to remember how to search your emails, to view your booking details. Rather than have somewhere you can file it.

I made an error in putting my first and surname in both the first and last name sections (4 names in total) . I will now have to pay to amend it. A human or superior website would've picked that up.

I only booked through planet this time, due to the £1 deposit offer.

Fix this issue and keep doing the £1 deposit and I will certainly be back.
