I had 2 houses fitted with windows and doors from Sidey. When I encountered an issue with the lacquer coming off the front door, I decided to file a warranty claim. I sent in photos as requested, but never received the promised callbacks. I knew resolving this would not be easy. Sure enough, I received an email response tonight stating that while Sidey would re-lacquer the door under warranty, the paint finish was unlikely to be fully restored since the lacquer deterioration had gone on too long before being reported 14 days. When I purchased the windows and doors, you had represented Sidey as the manufacturer, but I now understand they are not. I was going to have Sidey install windows and doors at another property, but will no longer do so after this experience.Reported on the 8th April 2024 you work it out? I Like all the positive reviews wait till you have to make a warranty claim then the fun begins.
You are not dealing with an unintelligent person. I will continue pursuing a resolution to this problem.

Honestly, the response I received from Sidey was not what I expected. I believed they were the top glazing company to go with, but when I checked Companies House and found they were under new management, I never expected to encounter this issue. When I reported the problem within 14 days, I was assured it would be fixed, but when I actually saw the damage and reported it, you wouldn't honor the warranty. After seeking legal advice regarding the warranty, I learned that the seller must accept the claim, and there's little you can do if they refuse. So, buyers beware: don't let them sell you doors with a supposed 10-year warranty; it's not worth the paper it's written on. I was on the verge of purchasing new windows and doors from Sidey again, but I'm relieved I discovered what I'm dealing with. As a property investor, I've managed to dissuade a friend of mine with six new builds from going to these guys, and I feel much better about it.
Update they never fixed the door warranty is not worth the paper its written on beware.

2 wonderful fitters Chris and Michael. Lovely lads and did fantastic job and clearing up afterwards too. They also did one room separately to begin with so my nervous cats could be put in there. Highly recommend these lovely lads

Very good service from Sidey, team arrived on time and were neat and tidy and did a very good quality installation.

Office staff didn't do as they said they would regarding phoning my partner rather than me. Surveyor also phoned me instead of her when office were fully aware she was the one that was going to be in. Second job they've done and still have us as Mr and Mrs when we've always told them our correct surnames.
Installation of windows was ok. Remedial work lack of communication from them. 2 weeks still not fully finished due to "weather".

Very easy and straightforward and great door!

I purchased an expensive composite front door from Sidey. I noticed an indentation fault on the door a year later, however they were not interested in having any responsibility for the fault. They did come out to have a look at the fault and claimed someone must have tried to break into my house by kicking the front door in. As my house is on a main road and also a bus route this was clearly a lot of rubbish. I would never purchase anything from them again as they clearly have on intention of honouring any guarantee.

Very professional company. Helpful salesman, prompt survey. Clear communication regarding window instalment. Very skilled, polite crew came and fitted windows. Left everything immaculate.

I have used Sidey many times for windows and doors and have always been pleased with the quality of the service. This time patio doors were fitted to replace older ones and the service and quality was once again excellent.

The whole process of getting a new back door was made so easy from quotation to installation. Sideys have a great reputation and it’s well deserved

SHAMBLES OF A COMPANY!

Got my windows fitted 2 years ago and still having problems with leaking marking around every single frame indoors, different guys came out numerous times and said its MY paint (even though my paint didn't cause problems u til they put their windows in) bought cans and cans of stain bloc next day its all back through my walls! holes in the sides of the window sills, not sealed outside and closed my case down! I have kids youngest 4 year old and they won't take blame for their cowboy work!

Excellent from start to finish. Trade department were a joy to deal with. Lisa was highly knowledgeable. Fitters couldn’t have done a better job. Windows look amazing and are much more energy efficient than our old ones. The ten year guarantee gives great piece of mind. I would highly recommend.

Really great service. The fitting of my new door was first class. I’m very pleased with my new door. Not only does it look fabulous, it also keeps the chill out. My hall has never been so warm. The door is greatly admired by my neighbours.
