Do I have to pay a Parking Charge Notice from Total Parking Solutions? You might end up having to pay a PCN from Total Parking Solutions, but the money only has to be paid when a court order has been issued. These are not real fines like a Penalty Charge Notice.

Bandits! Parked opposite hospital in Kettering. Pay machine in car park was broken. Used an app to pay but mistakenly paid for the wrong car. They imposed a £70 fine. I appealed, explaining what happened and proving I had paid for a parking space (just the wrong reg). They allegedly went through an internal appeals process and found a fine was still necessary and advised debt recovery would begin if not paid. No attempt to pay back the £2 fee I paid them that doesn't count! Crooks!

Even one star is generous and so not deserving. Absolutely disgraceful company. I paid my parking fee at the end of my stay and am being fined for not paying! Despite proving my payment, via my bank statement, they will not accept this and state I breached my contract because I didn't key in my registration number properly and therefore my £1.50 fee, that I paid, could not be matched against a registration number on the machine. Be very careful, due to the issues I had keying in my reg number (Which I did twice and checked twice) the machine did not accept what I entered so took me through a different process asking me what time I arrived. I entered the time, it charged me £1.50 and I paid. Despite appealing this through the Ombudsman, it was rejected for the above reason, that it was my responsibility to enter correct reg details and now I have to pay a £50 fine. The machines should not be programmed to accept any payment without entering a reg number and should offer a number to contact if having problems. Absolute robbers!

What an awful company, business made from bullying and lies, not even the staff know how long there appeals procedure is letter says 28days and lady on the phone says 14days, you can’t speak to anyone about anything and they are rude and unhelpful. Appeal rejected even though it’s within the time frame. I will never visit another business using there services. They make paying for car parks hard by hiding machines and putting no clear signage up. Just a bunch of scam artists really, would be ashamed to work for this company

Beware, their machines are deliberately misleading so that they can get more money out of you by issuing a parking charge notice. My husband used their car park in Hamilton. The machine asked for £1.40, he paid with his card there and then. He got a parking charge notice because of part payment. If the machine asked for £2.80 he would have paid that. An appeal was sent to POPLA and TPS said that it was the visitors responsibility to calculate the price and use the arrow buttons on the machine. This was not clear when using the machine and my husband said that there were no arrow buttons on the machine. POPLA rejected the appeal because they said that my husband should have used the arrow buttons and was issued a ticket. He was not issued a ticket. TPS provided a blurry image of the parking machine with the buttons not visible so I can not see that as adequate evidence because the issue here is with how payment is collected. My husband does not dispute that he was in the car park and that he entered into a contract to pay. POPLA therefore has taken the side of TPS and it's not surprising as 59% of POPLA appeals are rejected. There are many people online advising of a similar experience with this car park which is a red flag. It feels that they have this sort of set up with a misleading machine to catch people out and it must be a nice wee earner for them. I will be warning others not to use this car park.

Worst ever company i wish they face any solicitor who can take them to court for their bullying and wrong PCN's.

Not surprised to see the appalling reviews following my experience. This is a vile scumbag company literally stealing money for a living. I thought I had correctly paid for my parking via phoneline and when I went through their appeal procedure it was obvious they completely ignored it and made me pay £60 anyway. Please tell all your friends and family to avoid this horrible, unethical car park operator at all costs. Sincerely hope they go out of business.

Hit me with a charge of £100 for getting one digit wrong when paying for parking on the app and then appealing. Not sure how these people sleep at night - hope their mums are proud of them.

Absolutely disgusting company.

Refused to accept an appeal after being 13 minutes late, taking into account the grace period set out by the BPA as my baby had a very upset stomach resulting in me having to fully clean and change him, resulting in me being late.

Nothing but money grabbers with no care or empathy. Will never give any business my custom if I see there signs in the car park.

Update: I appealed to POPLA about their charge, and it was overturned, I pay nothing. If they get you, please complain, dont let them intimidate you into not appealing. They need to be stopped.
Original - I tried to use their car park, I couldnt find a way to pay, nor find the car parking attendant who is supposed to be there. I left after a few minutes. They claim they sent a PCN, which I didnt get, and now they are refusing to hear any appeals and demanding £120 aggressively. They are unscrupulous and nasty to customers, and fail to manage car parks effectively. Just in for the money.

I just think what you do is inherently evil and immoral. Not to mentioned you sent me a f ucking letter with two weeks of grace for reduced payment after the alleged incident, but I received the letter with one day to go on this period of grace you scumbags. £70 for 17 minutes of parking overtime - you are a f ucking joke

I parked and paid for 11/2 hours parking. Received a parking notice saying I had over stayed. The only evidence they provided was a photo of my car proving that I had parked there but provided no evidence of me over staying. I appealed without success.
This company is a scum company who operates on the basis of conning people out of their money.
Also they do not recognise the Ombudsman service for appeals.

Appalling company: fined me via a car hire company, without my knowledge, @AvisUK paid up on the basis of two blurry photos and a claim that I hadn't paid. I have the ticket. They say there is no appeal once paid. Customer service 'won't deal with a paid ticket', employee I spoke to unhelpful. Liars and cheats.

Scumbags. Appealed a parking charge, because my disabled daughter was stuck in a toilet for over an hour and we exceed the allowed time in a car park. We sent them evidence of our daughter's disability payments, yet they asked for receipts as proof we were in the shop!!!

I tried to park in the Total Parking Solutions Car Park at Broad Plain in Bristol on 30 March. The payment system was down and after 3/4hr of trying to pay both by app and telephone and trying 2 different perfectly good credit cards, I left the car park to find another solution. I have since received a parking charge notice and have appealed both to TPS and POPLA. Both have ruled against me so I have eventually paid to make this stress factor go away. However, I strongly recommend that nobody goes near this company. Their systems do not work and they end up charging you through the nose for failing to provide a service and sending your stress levels sky high. If I had the time, I'd stand outside the car park with a notice advising other motorists not to go in and describing them as totally incompetent and unprincipled rip-off merchants.

Complete burks. We literally turned round in a Uni car park and they tried to fine us. No chance!

Today received a parking notice from Gemini Parking Solutions alleging a breach and the photos on the notice do not show the location. Their website is utter crap. Probably ex criminals running this sham of a company.

Parked at Principal Hotel York for a staff day. Did not see any signs regarding paying for parking and was not advised by Hotel staff that parking is not free. End up with a £60 PCN from this company. This farming out of privately owned parking areas at shopping centres/hotels etc should be banned to stop these modern day Dick Turpins from making money
