We were very pleased with the Costa Rica Expeditions trip planned for us. It met all of our expectations and desires of being active, yet sprinkled with relaxation in some of the beautiful areas of the country. The lodges were in lovely settings and very comfortable. The food was excellent. And the support people ie planners, guides, translators and/or transport people were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. Each one took a personal interest in our experience. They come highly recommended as a valuable partner in planning your vacation

Logistics were perfect.

Yorlani organised our visit and it went faultlessly, with visits to places which were carefully tailor-made to our requests. We spent three nights at each of Tortuga Lodge (Tortuguero), Lost Iguana (Arenal), Monteverde Lodge and El Remanso (Osa), with nights at the start and finish in San Jose. Transfers, by air, road and boat, went excellently. Our wildlife experiences throughout were fabulous - which is perhaps what you come to expect in Costa Rica - but what made the visit memorable was the skill, knowledge and patience of the Naturalist Guides, especially those at the two lodges run by CRE. It was a privilege to spend time with these true professionals. Accommodation and food were great throughout: Tortuga and Monteverde are exceptionally well run. Everyone we met in Costa Rica - both those who work in the hospitality industry and those who don't - welcomed us to their country with genuine warmth. It was an inspiring journey.

We had a wonderful experience with Costa Rica expeditions. Everything surpassed our expectations - from trip planning to execution. The entire process was very professional and we appreciated the quality of planners, guides, drivers and experiences. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to friends!

Staff, facilities and flexibility in letting me set my own plan in place made my last trip to Costa Rica with CR Expeditions terrific. I highly recommend them. The friendliness and competence in staff across the board was superb.

Costa Rica Expeditions exceeded all our expectations on our recent trip to Costa Rica. They organized transfers, fabulous hotels and day tours. They understood what matter to us during the trip, and made it possible. The destinations ( Arenal/LaFortuna and the area of Manuel Antonio) were beautiful, the drivers knowledgeable and the naturalist guides an endless source of information. Everyone was extraordinarily kind and always made us feel safe. Thank you for great memories!

The tour was great! So nice that we could pick and choose ahead of time what we wanted to see.
As two women traveling alone, we appreciated the inclusion of transportation.
The guides were particularly outstanding! Extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their field.
The resort accommodations were very comfortable.

This was a holiday of a lifetime for us and it didn’t disappoint. CRE worked carefully with me upfront to meet my spec and budget (and the mix of nature, beach and activities was just right). With a 9 and 11 year old, this was our first more adventurous holiday and the whitewater rafting was a real highlight, but also loved the zip lining and horse riding. Nature everywhere was amazing but seeing the turtles lay their eggs was a real high. We treated ourselves to the Tortuguero lodge which was a real treat and absolutely worth it. But the trip was also really made by the CRE team - who were totally committed to us having a good time and whose local knowledge/presence helped us really get a feel for Costa Rica, its people and culture - rather than the bubble you can find yourself in on organised tours. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

The travel agents and all the companies we booked tours with were excellent and efficient ! Highly recommend !
