I cannot praise these guys highly enough.

VERY good quality product, shipping was fast and very efficient, and they were incredibly well priced.

We went for compact laminate, it has been in use for a year now and looks as good as the day it went down. And we like a curry, so this has had turmeric, chilli and all sorts thrown over it. Not a single mark, not a single stain, absolutely no maintenance whatsoever.

I'll never buy worktop from anywhere else again, why would I?

Problem is, I only have one kitchen, so it's not something I'm gonna need any time soon.

Worktop delivered with no communication before, just left in garden leaning against house wall with shredded plastic wrapping. I was in house but not contacted. I live alone and have no near neighbours. I am over 90 and can't move it. Rain is forecast and I fear it will be destroyed. So much for the 2 man delivery, could not even ring bell.

Do not order from here no matter what you do.

Worktops came with packaging ripped open, exposing all of the wood.

Upon closer inspection, there was black oil marks across the entirety of the worktops(all sides of both worktops) as well as individual staves rough and exposed to mould.

Up stands also covered in marks, and in very poor condition, covered in what looks to be blood marks.

Customer service shocking only offering a £50 refund as “compensation”.

I really do not recommend buying from here.

Website very easy to use. Good communication on progress of order. Delivery on time (again with good communication) and straightforward. Not fitted as yet (using worktop as desktop) but the top looks fantastic (walnut with 3 oil coats) and is very heavy (40mm thickness) - looking forward to years of use.

Can't put zero otherwise I would have.

Order confirmation states delivery by 15/10/2026. No further correspondence received from the company so decide to chase them up the day before delivery to check, only to be told that it isn't going to be delivered then and is provisionally booked in for delivery the following Tuesday.

Additional information, after being huffed at down the phone by one of their 'sales representatives' I finally got through to a member of the customer care team the next day.

Basically they can't deliver in the time frame they state on their website and on the order confirmation invoice. Couldn't care less and are breaching consumer rights and as of this moment data protection as I have requested information on how to obtain the call recordings of my calls with them as I am now in the process of speaking with trading standards and legal representation on the matter but they have not responded to my emails even though they were quick to respond prior to this.

I have been offered a £100 as compensation, £56 of that 'compensation' is a refund of the delivery fee I paid to have these delivered by 15/10/2026. So in fact they have offered £44 compensation on a nearly £1000 sale for delaying my work by over 3 weeks, having to cancel other trades people who were lined up to carry out other work like fitting gas lines which requires the worktops in place to be able to connect the gas hob.

The offer of the aforementioned £100 was also on the premise that I take down this review.

Prompt delivery excellent communication and exceptional priving for the quality of the product.

The product quality is excellent, and the price is very competitive. They even called to check something because it looked like I had made a mistake whilst ordering (I had)! Very fast turnaround time too.

Firstly very quick with sending samples which are of a good size and quality.

We ordered and again delivery was 2 days later and plenty of communication, and even followed my directions as delivery men fly round the corner and often miss the house.

As yet not fitted, but looks nice.

Happy to take your money and even contact you offering additional workshop services only to then decide 2 days before delivery is due that they 'don't have the item in stock'.

Avoid and use worktop express instead - they wont let you down.

Edit - Upped this to two stars as they have got in touch to explain the situation and how it happened, and I think it's a mistake rather than their usual practice, but I've still had a poor experience so two stars seems fair.

Initially incorrect order of sample rectified and new order sent and received within 2 days

We ordered a bespoke worktop from House of Worktops for around £1,000, including custom cut-outs and their SmoothGuard oiling service.

Unfortunately, the experience was pretty poor from start to finish.

All four custom cut-outs were undersized by around 3-4mm, meaning the fittings they were specifically sized for would not fit.

The worktop was then collected so the issues could be corrected. When it was returned, the cut-outs had clearly been manually adjusted, but the finish is very poor (despite being personally checked before it left their workshop) with uneven edges, inconsistent rounding and rough areas around the cuts. The response from House of Worktops was that they thought the cut outs would be hidden by grommets in those areas, implying that the finish basically didn't matter here.

To make matters worse, the worktop also came back with multiple additional nicks, gouges and marks that were not there originally. We were told these could be resolved by us sanding and re-oiling the worktop ourselves - but I'm not sure why this was pushed back onto us. If you buy a new car, and it's scratched, they wouldn't give you a paint kit and ask you to repair it yourself.

At that point, after losing around a month on the project, we were left needing to get a carpenter in anyway to tidy up the cut-outs and repair the finish.

House of Worktops eventually agreed to refund £165, essentially the cost of the cut-outs that they were unable to complete properly, but this doesn't then begin to cover the additional damage or the cost of putting the remedial work right.

For a bespoke item costing around £1,000, the standard of workmanship, quality control and final resolution were simply not what we expected.

The most frustrating part is that a number of the later issues only happened because the worktop had to be collected in the first place to correct the original manufacturing errors.

Unfortunately, based on our experience, we would not use them again.

Excellent website for ordering exactly what is required.

Good product, a compact laminate. Was going to use corian, but this suited my purpose better, and was considerably cheaper. Good customer relations. There was a bit of a hitch with the order, but it was quickly resolved (much appreciated).

Easy ordering process, good website and excellent delivery

The worktop was a great price and is absolutely beautiful.
Communication could have been better as we found the company on Facebook and panicked a lot whether we had been scammed, it was difficult to get through on the phone sometimes.
BUT we got our delivery date, tracking was perfect and the delivery men were very helpful and polite. I would definitely recommend this company.
