I think the public is getting confused with all vets in the UK named Park Vets. Please check the website connected to this page before posting a review.

We found one of our three cats "Pepper" immobile, low heart rate and eyes flicking like seizures outside.

We rushed her to the nearest Vets. Park Vets. I actually work very local and so knew of them however I'd not heard amazing things.

Let me put that straight.

I was told over the phone to say it was an emergency I walked in holding Pepper and was ushered through immediately by a lovely lady at reception. My wife drove and I had my two young daughters with me. As I don't drive we had no choice like it or not my kids were having to go through this too. They were naturally upset.
Lady on reception ushered us through to a dedicated room and offered my girls drinks.

Pepper was already being seen by the vet who'd been taken and was being checked.

The team at Park Vets Sidcup guided us through every step of the way from entering the Vets to leaving. They helped arrange/did everything from outstanding customer service to above and beyond for us in terms of giving us every single option and ensuring we knew how to access it.

Pepper sadly had a turn for the worse, she'd had seizures on way to the vets. We knew what little hope was left was futile. However worth trying for. After the latest turn their truly was nothing they could do bar offer pain relief. I signed the consent and she was put to sleep 30th December 2025.

I cannot thank the receptionist, girl who helped us with paperwork and both vets we saw enough and I'm sure their were people behind the scenes who deserve credit too.

I have had great experience with Park Vets over the past year with my troublesome dog. They are caring, efficient, honest and proactive.

The good reviews are years old, certainly not good now. Trying to book an appointment is difficult as they are a part time practice. The staff are very junior with little experience and miss diagnose or only partly treat conditions.
Very poor experience overall, with profit being a prime consideration.

One of the worst vets around. My local branch is only open twice a week so getting an appointment is impossible. I complained to them but all they said was to go to other branches nearby but the point is I can’t get to other branches.

Vets should be open at least 5 days a week. I’ve tried looking for an appointment as my cat is sick but the next available appointment is the 5th September! What a flipping joke??!!!!

Useless vets avoid.

Medication prices are a rip off cannot believe there mark up nearly 500per cent on line Medication £1.97 parkvets 36.60 another metacm oral susp 10 ml online £4.75 park vets £30 .98 time to find another practise

Avoid if you can. Last few years have turned into maximising profits. Prescription medications 500 percent more than online. Trying to sell you blood work and repeat appointments when not needed.

Owned by vetpartners who are in turn owned by venture capitalists.

CARDIFF Theyre nice once you get there but the phoning and booking appointments with the recieptionists is terrible. It seems like they don't communicate between each other or with the vets as you will book any appointment and theyll end up recalling you to change the appointment 2-3 times after due to miscommunications. Ive had my appointment rescheduled multiple times due to some one not being trained properly or that a vet is suddenly leaving early on the day of my appointment. Just poor service to be honest and really frustrating.

Park vets are terrible and disgusting. My family took there pet dog as not well.On first diagnosis day 1 said it was lung worm.Then was not sure because a different team had dealt. Wha happened to notes ? Within a week charged £3700.00 On rettoday charged £600 to say in the afternoon it was phnemoumi and charged another £500 to put her down.Avoid at all costs because that will be all you get not your pet back.

Park vets (Hayes) said we needed to give our 13 year old GSD continual medication for multiple issues and they 100% helped her. They requested a check up and said they would not give any more tablets as they could affect her long term health (13 year old GSD and they're worried about long term ....... ) they wanted us to sign up for various treatments saying £100 for this and £100 for that and told us to change her food . During the check up we mentioned a possible ear problem and a test was required (£30.00). Results....... she has a problem with her ear and further tests required.... next test...... £100.00... hhmmm.. its so sad to see our dog suffering while we find another vets... Its Disgusting that park vets put money over pet welfare. I think the lack of response to so many negative reviews says everything.... wonder if they even bother to look....

I took my dog beautiful red poodle to vets explaining he has been having fits. I also said he has sticky eye gave us drops for the eye. She said no its not fits it is arthritis in his back leg we tried to explain she gave us pain relief.Jack was laying there that evening he had a massive fit he came out of it but hes 13 and we need to find another vets. It cost 166.00 to get knowwhere. That is Swanley park vets never again. Its just money down the drain x

I would always recommend Park Vets, as there service is 100% excellent, friendly staff and vets, and a very professional all round service at a good price, thank you Park Vets

My dog went into parkvets Sidcup, for a toe amputation which I was told, was straight forward she'd be out later that day. I then get a call she'd been sent to fitzpatricks in Guildford as they'd made an error and cut ligaments, she now has a thermal burn the size of a plate on her back due to negligence somewhere along the line, when she recovers I will never use them again

Majority of the 1star reviews on here are not even about Parkvets in Sidcup, who are amazing albeit expensive but top standard vets and nurses who keep patient care a priority.

Please update your opening times!!!!!!
It's unreliable and unprofessional it doesn't agree with website times.
Very disappointed

Parkvets at Footscray are the worst vets for upselling. Have been advised my 2 year old dog needed 8-10 teeth out costing £1000-£1200+. Went to two other vets who advised scale and polish at most. Went back to park vets (2nd vaccination) to be told scale and polish. They take ABSOLUTELY NO responsibility. I have lost money due to other vets consultation fees due to their lies!!
If I can help just one person avoid this place then I will be happy.

I have just come off the phone from a receptionist at Park Vets, Morgan Street Pontypridd who was unnecessarily rude, patronising and unhelpful
I'm with petplan and am currently making a claim as our cat Midnight has an eye infection
I'm receiving the payments in bits although I was told that park vets would wait until the situation was resolved.
Total cost of treatment is about £500 which I think is excessive.

Midnight was seen and initially prescribed doxycycline and an antiemetic plus chloramphenicol eye drops for human use.
The vet wanted to do scans and swabs which would have cost hundreds. Talked about herpes, chlamydia and blockage of tear ducts. Her diagnosis was jumping around.

The truth is that conjunctivitis was the most likely cause and should have been treated in the first instance. She discussed abscesses and trauma and even the possible surgical removal of his eye.
She instructed drops into left eye only but the infection spread to right. Cleared up in left.

On second visit for infection to right eye she prescribed chlortetracycline to right eye only. I suggested we try putting it in both eyes to ensure infection doesn’t spread back which she thought was a good idea as she hadn’t thought of that.

I got the sense that parkvets were trying to make a buck at every whipstitch and have now changed to an independent vets as I now realise parkvets is part of vetpartners and operates in similar ways elsewhere.

We are absolutely disgusted with this practice at Glenfield.
The customer services team haven't a clue how to talk to customers and are downright rude at times!
We have been treated like thieves because of a mistake on their part, which they won't admit too, or even apologise!
All they seem to care about is money and that's if they can get the amount right that you owe!
We feel we've been sold medicine that's not suitable for our cat all at astronomical rates! Perhaps the staff are on commission to upsell to you!
We've been with this practice now for 17 years with another branch and feel very disappointed and frankly ripped off by these sharlatans.
Having read the other reviews, it seems all they're interested in is your money.
We won't be taking our cat back here, they will be getting no more money from us, whatsoever!
Avoid at all costs unless you want to be patronised, ripped off or completely ignored!
What an absolute shambles!
These should be reported!

Saw a vet at our closest branch who gave their opinion on the issue with our dog, but this would need to be confirmed by an examination under sedation. They said they were pretty certain as to what the issue was and once confirmed, it could be treated.
We were told to bring our boy to Sidcup at 0830 in two days, and that he was to have nothing to eat or drink from tea time the night before.
Once we saw the vet the upselling started almost immediately. It could possibly be this it could possibly be that we must do this we must do that and if we don't do all of these things it is likely there will not be a good outcome for your dog. At this stage my daughter was in floods of tears but that didn't seem to phase the vet who doubled down on the pressure sell with throwaway references to the possibility of cancer, surgery to remove tumours and chemotherapy.
With a distraught daughter pleading with me I was pushed into a corner. Exactly what they prey on.

I was told we could collect our dog at about lunchtime and to wait for the call to do so. We left him there and at about 1.30 I called and was told that they would call us when he was ready. At about 2.45 I was called by the vet who said he had just approached our dog to administer the sedation (6 hours after leaving him) but he would not let him. He did not answer me when I asked what they had been doing all that time but suggested I come to the surgery to help restrain our dog.
I did go to the surgery but to collect our dog, who by that time had been caged for some 7 hours, we assume with no water or food for what was now some 20hours. He stank of urine and his blanket we had left was soaked in it.
One of his symptoms was increased urination and incontinence; he appeared to have been left to lie in his urine.
Vultures who prey on people desperate to do the best for their pets. Motivated by money and nothing else it seems. I wonder do the vets get a commission on the upselling?
