Poor customer service
Poor customer service, unprofessional, incompetent, mismanagemen, negligence and failure in duty of care.
I took time off from work. Serviceteam workman failed to attend the first appointment. Service team also refused to send a replacement.. So I lost £250 in my pay for taking day off. Serviceteam refused to pay me compensation for my loss in day's wage.
I then had to arrange a second appointment because Serviceteam said that they will charge me for site survey if If I refused to arrange another appointment.
For the second appointment, I found the Serviceteam's workman unprofessional, incompetent and in a hurry to leave saying he had another customer waiting and refused to complete installation.
Serviceteam still charged fee for £35 for the visit despite not completing the job.
Serviceteam have now said that they will install two simple shows I have purchased. But that this time they will charge me £735. First time they quoted me £190.
Avoid Serviceteam at all cost. Very bad experience with this company. Avoid this company at all.cost.

We’re sorry to read your comments and would like to clarify the situation for accuracy and transparency.
No work has been completed or charged for at your property other than a nominal £35 attendance fee to cover the engineer’s visit. The initial quotation you received (£190) was a budget estimate subject to a site survey, based solely on photographs you provided.
When our engineer attended, he found that:
• Bath taps – the pipework beneath your bath was completely inaccessible because the bath is recessed into the wall. This was not visible in the photos. To replace the taps safely, an access panel must first be created.
• Shower – once the old shower was removed, the supply pipe behind the wall was discovered to be loose and unfixed. This could not reasonably have been foreseen from the photos and must be secured from the adjoining room before a new shower can be installed.
Because of these unforeseen conditions, the scope of work changed substantially. In line with our quotation terms, the visit was therefore treated as a survey and not an installation. The engineer re-secured your old shower to leave it safe.
We understand your frustration regarding the time taken off work, but we do not compensate for missed appointments or unforeseen site conditions. We did, however, offer to reschedule promptly at your convenience and to proceed once safe access was arranged.
The revised quotation (£735) reflects the additional work required — including creating access, securing pipework, and completing both installations properly and safely.
We take pride in being transparent and operating to professional standards, and we regret that the situation has been misrepresented here.

Boiler service …
I haven't reviewed right away due to the warmer months, on switching my heating on this week it didn't work or my combined fire place, I have to pay for a professional to come and fix the issue...he took everything apart to clean which he said is whst the service IN
Involves!!! I have never seen an engineer clean as throughly or remove parts like he has to clean, he has confirmed it looks like it hasn't been serviced for years which I have done every year with your company...he advised flumes were totally blocked pipes had been bent and every section was covered in dirt. The last service was only carried out last month and I don't think that is acceptable to be entirely covered in dirt after one month and not operating due to poor service

To clarify for you – and for anyone else reading – the visit you booked with us in August was for a standard annual service of your Baxi Bermuda back boiler. This involves safety checks, combustion tests and cleaning of the readily accessible parts. It does not include a full strip-down and deep clean of the heat exchanger or flueways, which is a much more extensive procedure carried out only when specifically requested and quoted for.
Our Gas Safe engineer completed the standard service, all safety tests were passed and the appliance was left safe to use. When a second company later carried out a full strip-down, it’s normal that they would find deposits that aren’t removed during a routine service – especially on an older back boiler.
We always want customers to be clear about what’s included in each service type, and we’re reviewing our paperwork and booking confirmations to make that clearer. If you’d like to discuss your experience directly, please do get in touch with our office so we can go through the details with you.

Kept cancelling appointments.
I have no idea if these guys are any good at their actual job as they have failed to attend my premises.
I contacted Serviceteam to give me a quote for some work in my bathroom. Due to their policy of only being able to give a random 3 hour window to visit during an entire day, that you only find out the night before, I had to wait 2 weeks to find time that I could be home. After chatting with them they agreed to arrange my appointment for first thing in the morning so that I didn’t have to potentially be home all day. Frankly for an appointment to give a quote, this is the least I would expect - they will only be here for a short while to assess what work needs to be done.
I arranged for them to come first thing in the morning 2 weeks later. The day before that appointment I had a text telling me they would come from 5-8pm, despite telling me they would be there in the morning. I was not able to be present at that time and therefore had to reschedule for a week later. That day is today and they have just cancelled again and are requiring me to reschedule.
So that’s a £35+vat site visit fee that I’m expected to pay and 2 mornings of work (I’m self employed) that I have now missed and I’m no closer to having my repair work done.
If they were here for a day to actually do the work, then of course I can take the day off and be here whilst they are working - but to attend and give me a quote so that they can attempt to get my business, I would expect them to arrange for someone to turn up at an appointed time.
This is no way to run a business. I shall have to look elsewhere.

Hi Dominic – I’m truly sorry you had this experience. We appreciate the time you set aside for our survey visits and fully understand how disruptive it was when things didn’t go as planned.
When your initial survey was scheduled for 10/09/2025 (17:00–20:00), you advised that this slot wasn’t suitable and we rescheduled. We then agreed on a morning appointment for 17/09/2025 (08:00–11:00). Unfortunately, not only did our engineer encounter unexpected vehicle trouble, but you also received an evening slot notification the day before, contradicting our earlier agreement. That was our error, and we apologise for the confusion it caused.
We also recognise the impact this had on you personally, particularly as a self-employed customer who lost income while keeping time free for our visits. That’s not something we take lightly, and I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused.
Just to explain briefly how our appointments normally work: except for same-day bookings we plan engineers’ routes the evening before, which allows us to keep travel times short, reduce fuel use and keep costs down for customers. Once the routes are set we text a three-hour arrival window so people don’t have to stay in all day, and on the day itself we send a live “on-route” tracking link. This system works well in most cases, but in your case our communication and follow-through fell short and we’re sorry.
As the survey never took place, we’ve arranged to refund the £35+VAT site visit fee so you’re not out of pocket. We’re also reviewing how we handle specific time requests and last-minute changes to give customers greater certainty.
Once again, please accept our apologies, and we do hope there may be another chance in the future to show you the service standards we’re known for.
