Money goes underfunded when items are out of stock
Talabat.jo Jordan, was great ever since I started using it in July 2025. Then shortly in February, and March 2026, their follow up began to dwindle. I lost about 30 JD's in total of missing items. Even when supermarket called to express they ran out of stock of a certain item, it was unrefunded. I raised up cases, with receipts and evidence and to this day no real action taken, and my cases were closed. On one occasion, I went to the actual supermarket to claim my undelivered goods, and was offered a solution, after wasting about 20 minutes of verifying that I have a genuine claim. Three more orders, remain uncredited to my account and no sign of a refund or call to check my request or claim. Not professional.

I have been a loyal Talabat customer since the beginning, with over 500+ orders to my name and a Talabat Pro user. I have also, on multiple occasions, refunded money back to the company after mistakes made from there end—without dispute.
Two days ago, I placed an order from through the app. The order arrived two hours late, and despite the delay, I did not complain. However, when the food finally arrived, it was cold, poor in quality, and the boxes were completely squashed. Unfortunately, I had already paid via Visa, so I had no choice but to accept the order.
When I contacted customer service, not only was my request for a refund denied, but the representative disrespectfully suggested that I “should eat the food cold as NORMAL people do.” When I asked to escalate the matter, I was ignored.
I am not willing to let this go. I expect a full refund. Additionally, after reviewing recent feedback on the app, I see that many customers are facing similar issues. I strongly suggest the team addresses this pattern—this is not merely about the money, but about the complete lack of respect and poor treatment of loyal customers.

Complaint: Unauthorized Subscription Charges & Lack of Refund
I have no issues with their delivery service, as it meets standard expectations. However, my main concern is a very poor experience regarding unauthorized charges on my credit card for Talabat Pro, which I did not subscribe to.
This issue has been ongoing for the past two months, and I have yet to receive any refund. I have escalated this matter multiple times and provided all the requested details, including transaction reference numbers and card information. Despite this, I keep being told that the transactions cannot be located, which is extremely concerning. Since my card was deducted 29AED per month (Feb and March now)
At the same time, customer service representatives continue to assure me that a refund will be processed—but its never been processed and worst is in the request, the escalation is "resolved" which was not really happened.

Horrible staff and management while handling a complaint. They were not like that before!
I placed an order through Talabat on 17/03 and specifically requested a pizza without cheese. However, the pizza was delivered with cheese, making it incorrect and unusable for me. The total cost of the order was AED 47.30.
I immediately contacted customer support and requested that they coordinate with the restaurant to deliver the correct item. I was informed that they were unable to reach the restaurant, as it was not responding. Instead, I was offered only AED 15 in compensation, which I find unacceptable given the circumstances. I asked them again to call the restaurant and again they refused bluntly!
I would like to highlight that I paid the full amount for an order that was not prepared according to my request. Offering a partial compensation while closing the case does not fairly resolve the issue.
I am also disappointed with how this complaint was handled. The response felt scripted and lacked genuine understanding of the issue. A complete robot called Ameer Hamza, no empathy or dignity, repeating a script of sorry and apologies with no understanding at all. The next guy who called me lied to me and said he is the manager and the same script all over again.
Until today, no one from Talabat bothered to call or resolve the issue till the today (23/03/2026) whileI am recording this review.

Goodwill" vouchers used to dodge On-Time Guarantee
Extremely disappointed with Talabat’s service and support tactics. My order was 40 minutes past the 'maximum delivery time.' Despite their 50 AED On-Time Guarantee, support agents trapped me in a loophole. An agent unilaterally added a 15 AED 'goodwill gesture' for the rider's unprofessionalism (sending hugging emojis and ignoring 'do not disturb' instructions) without my consent. When I tried to claim the actual 50 AED guarantee I was owed, I was told 'only one voucher per order' is allowed. This feels like a deliberate strategy to underpay customers for massive delays. To top it off, the rider ignored clear instructions to leave the food at the door, calling and knocking repeatedly in the early hours of the morning. Unprofessional and dishonest.

FRAUD. I ORDERED FEW ITEMS ON 15TH. OUT OF THEM ONE ITEM WAS MISSING. WITHIN A MIN. I CALLED & INFORMED CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ASKED FOR THE MISSING ITEM WHICH I ALREADY PAID.THEY INFORMED VENDOR(LULU HYPERMARKET)IS NOT REACHABLE. THEN I ASKED FOR THE REFUND. THEY TOLD WITHIN 30 MINUTES IT WILL REFLECTED IN MY ACCOUNT. BUT NOTHING LIKE HAPPEN.FROM 16TH ONWARD THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY NEITHER DELIVER MY ITEM NOR GIVE THE REFUND BECAUSE OF THEIR SYSTEM ISSUE. WHENEVER I RAISE COMPLAINTS THEY CLOSED IT.

The items were not handled properly
The items were not handled with appropriate care. The cakes and tarts were stacked on top of one another, resulting in the flavors and colors being mixed together and the presentation compromised. The customer service acknowledged the issue but responded that they are not able to proceed with partial refund! I am disappointed with the customer support service.

Liars and go against their own policies
After placing a large order, two items were out of stock. I was given the option to replace them or receive a refund, and I chose a refund. Talabat confirmed that the refund would be processed, but the credit never appeared in my account.
I then spoke with around eight customer service agents and two people from the complaints department. One representative assured me the refund would be issued within 30 minutes. When I asked what would happen if it didn’t, he confidently said it definitely would, as I was now speaking with the main team responsible for handling refunds.
Unfortunately, no refund was ever processed. Instead, I was repeatedly told there was an “issue” with my account. When I asked what the issue actually was, they said they weren’t sure but still couldn’t issue the refund.
So I’m now out of AED 116 and received none of the missing items. The entire experience was frustrating, contradictory, and a complete waste of my time. I’ve deleted the app and would strongly advise others to avoid using it.

Very bad experience with Talabat. This is the second day in a row where my order never arrived at Suhoor time. I ordered food and waited, but the order never reached me. Because of this, I had to fast the entire day without eating properly from Iftar to the next Iftar, which is very frustrating.
I rely on my meals because I go to the gym and follow a specific diet plan, especially during Ramadan. Not receiving my order two days in a row is unacceptable and very disappointing.
Talabat needs to seriously improve their delivery reliability, especially during important times like Suhoor. This experience has made me lose trust in the service.

UPDATE: I find it hilarious that talabat replied to my comment. I already contacted them more than four times and communicated them via email and they fixed absolutely NOTHING. If only I could post pictures here I’d provide their absurd responses.
I’m only giving one star because less is not allowed. I’m not sure why talabat a policies changed but apparently now they allow their drivers to deliver orders to random sidewalks on the middle of the night and make the customers lose out on their money due to the drivers negligence. I ever had a driver request 5 JD from me for him to correctly deliver my package my my home (he marked it delivered but didn’t deliver it and didn’t get it to me till like four hours later). I had a driver literally tell talabat themselves (because talabat told me) that the driver left my package on a side walk in the street and that there was nothing they could to to resolve my case. I ended up having to report them to my bank in order to get my money back because they refused to refund me for an order I never recieved. They have the worst customer service. Do yourself a favor, save your money and time and take your business elsewhere. I even complained to talabat, showing them screen shots of my conversations with their agents where they confirm my order was not left at my door- and STILL- they did absolutely nothing to make things right “per their policies”

If you value your money and your time, I strongly recommend staying far away from this app. There are plenty of other options that won’t charge you for services you never asked for and then ignore you when you try to fix it.
They’ve been charging me for Talabat Pro even though I never subscribed to it. Not only that, I’m not even receiving any of the supposed benefits that come with it. So basically they’re just taking money for nothing.
Then comes the TERRIBLE customer service, they are incredibly rude and unprofessional. One kept sighing while I was talking, mumbling words in INDIAN under her breath. Instead of actually helping, they kept stalling, changing the subject, and closing my support requests even though I still haven’t received a single dirham back.
Who even uses this app anymore when we’ve got Noon and Keeta who are RESPECTFUL. After this experience, I will absolutely be telling everyone I know to avoid Talabat because no one deserves to deal with this kind of issues just to order food.
