Talabat Oman....you need to improve big time!! You deliver wrong item and refuse to refund me telling me to return to the store and return the wrong item.
The wrong item that you DELIVERED yourself.
Apologising and reading scripts does not help.
What if it was a melted icecream..would i also need to return it back to the shop???
On top of that, the prices shown kn the item is different from the receipt.
A big shoutout to Talabat food delivery drivers who are out on the roads in this heavy rain, navigating flooded roundabouts and slippery streets on scooters so that others can stay safely indoors. Delivering food and groceries in these conditions takes courage, patience, and real commitment.
To everyone driving today, please be extra considerate. Give Talabat drivers space, slow down around them, and allow them priority where possible. Dear Talabat Team,
I am writing this email as a formal escalation after repeated unresolved issues and weeks of follow-ups, with no clear ownership, transparency, or accountability from your platform.
At this point, the experience with the Talabat app and customer service has been deeply disappointing and extremely frustrating.
Key concerns I would like to highlight:
Over the past few weeks, I have faced multiple service failures, including:
Orders being confirmed and amounts debited, while the app fails to process or deliver correctly
Wrong orders being prepared by restaurants or delivered by riders
Long waiting times with no proactive resolution, leaving the customer to chase support repeatedly
This is now the second instance within a single week where I was left waiting for my breakfast, only to receive either an incorrect order or no usable resolution after payment was already deducted.
Equally concerning is the complete lack of a visible escalation structure:
No clear escalation matrix
No senior contact points
No accountability trail
No proper logs or reference-based follow-ups
Customers are repeatedly given false assurances that issues will be resolved, only to follow up again days later with no outcome.
There are also serious data privacy concerns. On multiple occasions, riders have contacted me directly, after which my number has been exposed to spam and unsolicited calls. This raises questions about how customer contact details are being handled and protected.
When issues are escalated, the resolution offered — such as OMR 1.500 vouchers — feels dismissive and disconnected from the actual inconvenience, time lost, and repeated failures experienced. This does not reflect a serious or customer-centric approach to service recovery.
I would also like to note that I am a long-standing Talabat user, with approximately 12,000–15,000 loyalty points, and this level of service is not what one would expect after years of usage and trust in the platform.
I am sharing this not just as a complaint, but as a clear signal that the current service quality, escalation handling, and data governance are not meeting acceptable standards. With increasing competition in this space, experiences like this will inevitably push loyal customers away if not addressed meaningfully.
I request:
A proper review of these incidents
A clear response from a senior operations or customer experience team
Clarification on data protection measures related to rider–customer contact
A more appropriate resolution aligned with the actual inconvenience caused
I hope this message reaches someone who can genuinely review and act on it, rather than routing it back into the same unresolved loop.
I try to use Talabat every once in a while hoping it would not be something I regret. I regret it everytime. Their fulfillment is close to zero. There is always an issue with fulfillment. I would give the app zero stars if I could.
Terrible customer service support. They read from a pre-made script and pretend to help without actually helping.
My order was not delivered to me and they refused to give me a refund. Absolutely unacceptable. PLEASE AVOID.
I always ordered from 1 restaurant on talabat. Once I went to the restaurant and saw the menu. Shocked to see the price, on talabat it's much more than the restaurant. And top ot that delivery and app charges. Its pure looting their costumers.
Extremely poor service and zero accountability.
My order was accepted and charged, yet never delivered. The restaurant confirmed they never received the order, while the Talabat app falsely showed the status as “in preparation” for over an hour.
Customer support hid behind “policies” instead of resolving the issue. After waiting an hour with no food and no transparency, I was offered a 15 AED voucher as compensation — completely inadequate for the inconvenience and wasted time.
I was left hungry and forced to place a new order from another restaurant, waiting yet another hour. There was no real concern for the customer experience, only scripted responses and excuses.
Talabat positions itself as a leading platform, but this experience reflects irresponsibility, misleading order tracking, and poor customer care. Very disappointing and not acceptable.
Tried repeatedly installing the app just to order food in Bahrain but ...no luck!
Obviously, i did not have a middle-eastern mobile number and when trying to place an order I used the other two numbers I had (European and British) but when tried to confirm my number I got the same error-message that I should retry later and after a while this was blocked due to many tries!!!
I tried the next day, I was still not able to confirm my number which meant I was not able to order anything!
Utter rubbish ! The app is horrendous! There was not even a support contact us page in order to get this resolved. For some reason this horrible app is monopoly and there is no other app for ordering food(!!!)
They guy claimed that my order is in sharjah while its stated its in ajman. He yelled at my mother and dont wna deliver my order anymore and returned it back to talabat mart.
The manager is egyptian. He also was mean to her. So i ordered again online like 3 times it got canceled manually by them!! Worst service ever.
And just when i wanted to order from lulu hyper after their bad experience. Its closed!! They wasted my time. No one buys from talabat mart !!!

Yesterday, I ordered through Talabat as a Talabat Pro user, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The order took two and a half hours to arrive, despite three calls to customer service starting from the first hour, during which I repeatedly asked to cancel since the food had not yet been dispatched. Each time, the agents either refused to cancel or insisted it was already on the way, and at one point assured me I would receive it in five minutes, which was not true.
I clearly told them I no longer needed the order because it would arrive cold, it was already around 1 a.m., and I had placed another order from a different restaurant. Instead, they persuaded me to accept the delivery, promising over the phone that if the food was cold, I could call back and get a refund. After I received the order—cold and inedible, as expected—they then refused a refund, saying that because I had accepted the delivery, I was only eligible for a voucher worth roughly 10% of the order value.
Overall, this experience was a complete waste: four separate calls with agents, money effectively lost, and my sleep delayed by about three hours waiting for food that arrived after midnight. For a supposedly premium service, this felt dishonest and manipulative, and reflects very poorly on the company’s customer service and refund practices
Worst app, cancels the order after 45 minutes of accepting the order, restaurant is helpless and food is wasted as talabat cancels the order.

Literally they offer the worst service ever!i’ve been asking for two refund and they claimed it takes 5-7 working days, its been 9 days now and whenever i contact them they say there is an issue with the payment, they are not honest with customers, they are unprofessional , and they are so bad in satisfying their customer needs ! Im gonna delete this app and use better alternatives

We received a delivery receipt but we did not receive our order. We order for 1 meter pizza hut last night but it was not delivered until this morning.im very very disappointed this the second time it happen...even to call me nothing talabat they didn't care or if i need to call them in there hotline nothing response ...this is not good it was very badddddd we are excited coz there is a birthday in our flat and we did not this order because of the very bad service on this talabat ...very bad they didn't even try to call if there is any changes to they are not allow to deliver our order..if they call me if very okay but they didn't try to call ...
